Agriculture Day—Friday 19th October 2018
Thank you to the families who let us know that their child is looking at
entering a lamb or goat for Ag Day.
Ag Day is Friday 19th October, and entry forms can now be sent to the
office for registration. Forms will be available at the office, and are
to be returned to the office by 13th September. We appreciate that some
children may not have their animals before this date, but we ask that
forms be completed with as many details as possible,
and further details are provided to the office as soon as
these are available.
Can all trophies from last year's Ag Day and Group
Day please be returned to the office now.
SCIENCE FAIR
What a fantastic night. Ohaupo School won again. On Tuesday night Val Millington
and Jenny McRobbie accompanied our five Niwa Regional Science Fair winners to the
Awards Evening at St Paul’s School.
These children already won a First Prize Ribbon at the Hamilton Gardens Pavilion on
24th August and had gone on to the big event to compete against all the other winners.
Congratulations to Kirk Van Marrewijk and Jack Hogg for Highly Commended in
Technology, Jyne Eom for gaining second in Science and Oliver Hogg and Paige Keith
for First in Science. Mrs McLocklan was sick, so disappointed that she could not attend
the evening.
There were 500 entries this year so our Kauri Hub Seniors did very well.
Congratulations to everyone from our school who entered. We had seven entries in all.
On Friday at Ohaupo School assembly Ally Smith, Holly Duignan, Rebekah Ward and
Cayden Mathieson will present their entry “Dare 2 Care” and Curtis Reymer, Jack Kelly
and Jaxon Hines-Sutton will present their invention “A Split Second”. Other science
boards will be shown over the next few weeks. All entrants will be presented with
Certificates at this Assembly.
