RÉSUMÉ I am an Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy. My main research interests cover comparative welfare systems, inequality and its reproduction, and survey methods. More specifically, I have worked on: - comparative analysis of Western European housing systems and their link with welfare regimes; - housing as a core area in social policy; - intergenerational relationships and the transmission of housing wealth as a factor in the reproduction of inequality; - ICT and new data collection methods for the general population; particularly data quality in online mobile surveys. I already have an established position in the international research community for my original work on housing and welfare systems and on the intergenerational transmission of housing wealth. This is apparent from my research outputs, from my participation in (sometimes, co-ordination of) international research projects, but also from invitations I receive to present my work and to advise/discuss other research projects. I also have a reputation as a survey methodologist both at national and, increasingly, at international level. I have been extensively trained in quantitative methods for the social sciences. I am both a good primary investigator and an expert secondary analyst. I also have experience in using register data. My experience also includes working in applied research. I have cooperated – professionally or pro bono – with different stakeholders on social and housing policy issues, including the Italian national Government, regional and local governments, NGOs and other social organizations. My main teaching experiences include a PhD-level course in social network analysis and an undergraduate course in empirical methods, other than several other short courses and seminars. I have taken several administrative/organizational roles and I have good managerial skills. I have the expertise and skills for infrastructure-building in the social science. I have been awarded the Italian scientific habilitation in Sociology, associate professor level, in 2013 (“Sociologia generale, giuridica e politica” 14/C1).

1. RÉSUMÉ

I am an Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Free

University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy. My main research interests cover comparative welfare systems, inequality and its

reproduction, and survey methods. More specifically, I have worked on: - comparative analysis of Western European housing systems and their link with welfare

regimes; - housing as a core area in social policy; - intergenerational relationships and the transmission of housing wealth as a factor in the

reproduction of inequality; - ICT and new data collection methods for the general population; particularly data quality

in online mobile surveys. At least part of my work in these fields has been developed from an interdisciplinary

perspective, in connection with colleagues from economics (welfare and inequality issues), urban studies (work on housing) and marketing/social statistics (work on survey methods). I have also conducted research on poverty, child-care and transition to adulthood.
