Our school is in Candelaria, a town onthe east coast.

OUR TOWNCandelaria , 15 kms from thecapital, has about 25.000 inhabitants. Formerly a littlefishing village, it also houses thepatron saint of the Canaries, afterwhom the town is named.

The statues represent the ancient kingsof the people who inhabited the islandbefore it was conquered.

Our school is called IES Santa Ana because the patron saint in our village is Santa Ana
