Executive Director

- Mars Foundation is looking for an Executive Director who can come in to help grow the organization. The successfulcandidate will be able to clearly articulate the mission of the Foundation to private individuals, foundations, andgovernment resources to support the pursuit and development of that mission. Candidates must have the skills andpersonal qualities necessary to develop a broad consensus of support for the mission and various Foundationinitiatives. Candidates should have experience with and be able to speak effectively on behalf of Foundation in public,and in print and broadcast media.

- Candidates should have background in and a passion for science, and the desire and ability to inspire others with thatpassion. The job requires the capacity to work at the intersection of innovative program development and bestbusiness practices, of consensus-oriented management and effective decision-making, of strategic vision andpractical implementation.

- The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and dynamic innovator who can communicate the importance of the mission and the goals of the organization. The successful candidate will be a proven leader and an effectivemanager who can work successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced environment characterized by growth and change, andwill have exceptionalorganizational and administrative skills, including the ability to plan, set goals and objectives, organize, and follow

through. Knowledge of government and non-profit fiscal management is also required. The successful candidate mustbe a model of integrity and fairness and have high ethical standards.

Phobos Flexible Design Study Editor

- The Mars Foundation would like to undertake a major study of a Phobos-based settlement designed for teleroboticoperation of rovers on the Martian surface. The study will articulate all the ovrerall plan as well as deep dives on thevarious engineering discliplines of such an effort (materials & construction, architecture, robotics, communications,orbital mechanics, etc.)

- looking for an experienced researcher and editor who can coordinate the effort and compile the outline &introductorymaterials, as well as some limited project management.

- candidates should have a solid background knowledge of space, and some experience with similar researchgathering & editing projects is preferred.

- Flexible schedule, may work at home via Internet, may include some evening and/or weekend teleconferences.

Internship Coordinator

- The Mars Foundation is seeking an Internship Coordinator that can assist in interviewing and managing interns thatare Boston-based (primarily around MIT).

- Interns will be primarily assisting with research and administrative tasks for our organization. The InternshipCoordinator will ensure that these tasks are completed and that interns are being given enough responsibilities andsupport from theorganization.

Engineering or Design Team Manager

- The Mars Foundation is seeking engineers and designers to join our various projects, focused on the long-termexploration and settlement of Mars and the solar system.
