Benitses village, a beautiful holiday tourist resort
Benitses village is one of the original holiday resorts in Greece, a very old village, proud of its traditions. Perhaps
one of the most famous seaside villages in the country due to the strange and strong attraction exerted to
almost every visitor to Corfu that is difficult to describe in words. May be is the lush vegetation on the
surrounding mountains, the notorious nightlife of the recent past, the beautiful history of the place, or the
famous first guests and residents of the 50s..no one can say.

Restaurant – Fish Taverna Klimataria The restaurant – fish taverna Klimataria is a small family business of Nikos and Lily Bellos. The Arbor opened in
February 1997 and is open from February to November. Located in the centre of the picturesque village of
Benitses, across the new marina, housed on the ground floor of a beautiful, historic building.
Restaurant was born through our love for traditional food, everything is made out of our hands with the best
and fresh quality ingredients that Corfu generously offers. Nick and Lily cook all restaurant dishes daily: Nikos
cooks fresh fish and spicy and hot dishes, and Lily the salads and all the fluffy pastries.

the restaurant menu varies according to what’s fresh in the local market of Corfu at the time. Of course, there is
always the possibility to pre-order in time the fish you want, or a traditional dish of your choice, to give us the
opportunity to look for it and have it ready for you when you visit us.

PAXINOS restaurant is a family run in a cozy traditional surroundings, decorated so that it blends perfectly with
the flavors and keeps unaltered in time all old Corfiot recipes.
It operates all year round and is located right at the entrance of the village of Benitses and just 50 meters from
the main road.
Our kitchen is located in the same room with the main hall creating a warm and friendly environment while just

The Lido Corfu Sun is a 3-star hotel situated in the popular resort of Benitses. The hotel is only 30-metres from

2nd Day
Name of the place to visit: Mavrommatis Koumquat- Palaiokastritsa –Lakones- Doukades
The kumquat is a group of small trees belonging to the family Rutaceae. Their form is very similar
to oranges, but much smaller and with strong oval and a size slightly larger than olive.
Their growth is slow and the trees can reach a height of 4.5 meters. The leaves are dark green with
white flowers, similar to other limonoid plants. Importantly factor the size of the tree production
can be from a few hundred to a few thousand fruit year. The kumquat can be used in the kitchen,
drink or sweets.
In welcoming and modern exhibition you can try and taste all products based kumquat. Then our
street we find the area of Paleokastritsa, one of the most famous resorts. The distance from Corfu
town just 23 km and is located on the west coast of the island.
Time to sea. Our choices are many in the area. Paleokastritsa is famous for its extremely cold and
deep waters, but that is crystal clear. The whole area is famous for the seabed, attracting divers
from around the world for diving and underwater exploration.
In the taverns and restaurants of the village you can eat traditional food.
We visit the monastery of Paleokastritsa, dating back to the 13th century and features a
remarkable collection of Byzantine icons and church relics.
Then visit Angelokastro. It is a castle built on top of a steep hill while on the road for return would
meet the traditionally built village Lakones, Doukades.
We return to Corfu Town where there will be enough time to get to know the basics architectural creations
that left a trail of the English, the Venetians and the French and therefore today the Corfu town belongs to
UNESCO.

The estate Theotoki is beautifully situated in Livadi of Ropa surrounded by pine forests, ancient olive groves and vast
expanses of vineyards. In 1200 acres of our estate is world renowned for its top quality output at top wines and virgin
and extra virgin olive oil exported to all over Europe.

Our extra virgin olive oil produced from start to finish in our property, which has over 4,000 olive trees. Olive trees
which have no trace of drugs and other chemicals. In the press we use cold milling method to distill the Virgin and
Extra Virgin olive oil is characterized by top quality and taste.
Our wine
Our wine has received several times congratulations from well known and knowledgeable! One of them was Roger
Moore (James Bond) that the film "For your eyes only" (1981), that the shooting was in Corfu asked if he would like
something to drink he replied "I would like to drink a glass of white wine Theotaki ", and of course he meant White
Wine Theotoki!

Our library has been modernized, Detailed collections of books are categorized and registered into a computer for
easy and fast search.
The collection includes 35,000 books from the very old to trendy, maps, engravings, books specialized art history and
iconography with other large-value reading matters referred to religion and the laws of the Byzantine
the Empire on the Balkans and the Ionian Islands.
This huge library, with thousands of rare books, is a unique private collection with continuous additions thanks to the
passion and dedication of its founder, Mr. Georgiou Theotoki.
