TIMEbadge Expiring ID Technology

Over twenty years ago, TEMPbadge patented expiring technologywhich revolutionized temporary badging. Since then, we have beenrefining our technology to continue providing the most practical andup-to-date solutions for visual security and visitor control.

A TEMPbadge Expiring ID is better than any ordinary temporary IDbadge because it changes color when a visitor's badge is no longervalid. Each TIMEbadge ID consists of a specially coated white adhesiveFRONTpart and a BACKpart that is pre-printed with time-release ink.Once the FRONTpart is applied to the BACKpart, the TIMEbadge IDis activated. The result is a gradual color change that signals expirationwhen completed.

The Expiration Process

Depending on the expiration period you choose, the TIMEbadge ID willremain white for the majority of that time before the color changebegins. For example, a One-Day TIMEbadge Expiring ID issued in themorning will reveal light pink bars by late afternoon, and darker pinkbars within 1 day, signaling an unmistakable visual expiration.

The TIMEbadge Expiring ID is not affected by light, so the expirationprocess works indoors and outdoors, day or night.

Expiration Time Frames

• Half-Day • One-Day • One-Week • One-Month

TIMEbadge IDs are Tamper Resistant

Once a TIMEbadge ID is activated, the expiration process cannot bereversed. It is impossible to separate the FRONTpart from the BACKpartwithout visibly damaging the badge. The adhesive FRONTpart is madeof a specially coated material that looks like paper, but is tear-resistantand durable. Even if an attempt is made to separate the two parts, theTIMEbadge ID will continue to change color.
