What’s new for teltech in 2015:

An INterview with CEO Lisa Hanlon

2

Q: What do you see as goals for Teltech in 2015?During this upcoming year we will focus on additional forward logistics projects for Sprint. We will continue to grow the various areas of our business by marketing the “One Teltech Family” to our key partners and major customers. There are five key initiatives for the Teltech Family in 2015. One will be establishing a solid foundation for Novation Services with key customers and expanding into the government sector. Another initiative is positioning GrayWolves and the services business as key partners, while simultaneously expanding into the HETNET space (In-Building, Wi-Fi, Small Cell). The third initiative will be focusing on new relationships for asset management and reverse logistics. The fourth initiative is expanding the telecom clientele of Genesis Green and other market verticals. Our last initiative is to grow the Genesis Solar product portfolio.

Q: Why is it important for Teltech & GrayWolves to partner with Warriors 4 Wireless for training?W4W is the country’s leading organization for recruiting, training and apprenticeship programs for veterans. The partnership between GWT and W4W places us in an optimal position for achieving the overall program objective: providing long-term careers to veterans.

Q: With the four companies emerging together-TTC, GWT, GG and Novations- what will our roles be for full turn-key solutions? The four divisions will provide turn-key solution capabilities beginning with network planning/design and management (Novation Services) to network infrastructure deployments, maintenance and decommissioning (GrayWolves) to life-cycle asset management, overall logistics (forward & reverse) (Teltech), and recycling or re-purposing of legacy assets (Genesis Green).

Q: What has been the biggest challenge with the rapid growth of the company over the past few years? The biggest challenge has been keeping the “One Teltech Family” attitude and approach as we grow to four business divisions in multiple geographic areas. We put our focus back on providing the required infrastructure, processes and standards, in order to support business growth and optimize the overall performance. Our goal is to do this without losing the flexible and nimble approach for our customers.

Q: What has been the most exciting part of the rapid growth of the company over the past few years? The most exciting part for me has been validating the value and benefits Teltech brought to key customers and further solidifying the positive perception that Teltech has in the industry. Teamwork, from the different areas of the business, is the reason behind these accomplishments.

Peppermint Sugar Cookieswith Cream Cheese Frosting

Prep Time: 25 minutesCook Time: 11 minutesYield: 15 bakery size cookies

Ingredients2 1/2 cups cake flour, plus more for dusting work surface 2 tsp cornstarch 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature 1/4 cup all vegetable shortening (unflavored),at room temperature 1 cup granulated sugar 1 large egg 1 large egg white 2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp peppermint extract Crushed candy canes, for topping

Peppermint Cream Cheese Frosting 4 oz cream cheese, softened 4 Tbsp unsalted butter 1/2 tsp peppermint extract 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

DirectionsSift flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt into a large bowl, then whisk it just a few times, set aside. In the bowl of an electric stand mixer, on medium speed, whip together butter, shortening and sugar until very pale and fluffy, about 4 minutes, scrapping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Add in egg and mix until combine, then add egg white, vanilla and peppermint extract and mix until combine. With mixer running, slowly add in dry ingredients and mix just until combine. Transfer dough to an airtight container and refrigerate 2 hours. Preheat oven to 375 during the last 10 minutes of refrigeration. Scoop dough out about 3 Tbsp at a time and roll into a ball. Place dough ball on a lightly floured surface, sprinkle top lightly with flour, then using something flat and smooth (such as the storage container lid), press and evenly flatten dough to 1/2” thick. Transfer flattened dough to a Silpat or parchment paper lined baking sheet and repeat process with remaining dough (you’ll have to use 2 cookie sheets). Bake in preheated oven 9 - 11 minutes. Allow to cool 5 minutes on baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool. Cool completely then frost with Cream Cheese Frosting and sprinkle with crushed candy canes. For the frosting: In the bowl of an electric stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, whip together cream cheese and butter until pale and fluffy. Add peppermint extract and powdered sugar and mix until pale and fluffy. Recipe source: Cooking Classy

Meet Kelly Jo Martin!Teltech Sales, Procurement and Marketing Specialist

How long have you been with Teltech Communications? I have been with Teltech since 2007.

Where were you born, where did you go to school, etc.? I am from Eagle, Colorado. I went to school at Eagle Valley High School then went to school at Central Arizona College on a rodeo scholarship for 2 years. I ran barrels, break away roped and team roped. I then attended the University of Tennessee at Martin to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis on education. I was on a rodeo scholarship at UTM as well. I then taught elementary school art at Gypsum Elementary School before coming to Teltech.

Family, pets, etc.? My husband Cody and I have two fur babies: a corgi mix named Bowdrie and another terrier mix named Avey. We have an outdoor cat named Handsome and four horses: Rate, Lewis, Pecos, Decker and a mini pony named Clark. Clark is a buddy for my barrel horse Lewis….It’s the Lewis and Clark adventure. :)

Favorite Food? I really like food, it’s hard to narrow it down to one thing. Everything from fried pickles to steak and artichoke, to chocolate chip cookies and cotton candy.

Hobbies? I enjoy hiking, fishing, working out, and golfing when I can. My passion is in rodeo. Both Cody and I still participate in professional rodeo. I run barrels and he rides saddle bronc horses. I also team rope at jackpots, USTRC roping and other open rodeos. We rodeo year round and most weekends are spent at rodeos, ropings or barrel racings.
