TELEVISION HISTORY BY ISAAC AND KOLTON WHEN WAS TELEVISION INVENTED, AND WHO INVENTED IT? Black and white television was invented in 1925 by Philo Farnsworth, Charles Francis Jenkins, and a group of unnamed engineers. Then about thirty five years later the coloured television was invented by Peter Carl Goldmark. WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF TELEVISION? Why was the television invented you ask? The television invented mainly for entertainment, and to easily address the country if needed, for example natural disasters. The television was the next step from a radio, instead of sitting around and listening to radio sitcoms, you could actually visually watch it and not have to imagine it. WHAT MATERIALS WERE USED TO MAKE THE TELEVISION? The materials used to make the very first television were CRT (cathode ray tube),tubes, diodes, resistors, capacitors and inductors. Chassis box made of wood. There was only one channel at first, you would twist a little switchon the side of the television to turn it on, watch some TV, then press the same button to turn it off. EVOLUTION OF TELEVISION Televisions went from being bulky and only having one channel, to slowly getting slimmer and slimmer and having more channels with better graphics. EVOLUTION OF TELEVISION WHERE IS TELEVISION GOING? In our opinion, television cant go much further, to our knowledge anyway. Televisions are already almost paper thin, and have HD, and also 3D.
