Korean dramas #nravel a simple

Altho#gh the stories are sometimes morid, s#ch as s#ddendeaths ca#sed ! car accidents or le#/emia, Korean dramas do not demandfrom their a#dience a high level of sophistication in e6pectation. The c#lt#re of the Philippines instills in societ! theattit#de of getting ac/ what is d#e to !o# as evident in theplots of other local teleseryesand in ever!da! life showing thatredemption pervades in Philippine soap operas.

    ,eminism, was s#d#ed in the Korean version. Tho#ghe6hiited ! di?erent characters li/e +#n ae, Ae Ri,and *ad!$in, it was made less ovio#s than of the two maEor themes,revenge and love. eminism had two opposing aspectss#ordination and empowerment. The Korean version showedmore of female s#ordination d#e to the traditional val#e ofpatriarch!.

    ,%n the ilipino version, female empowerment was enhancedmore than female s#ordination. Women were given e=#alimportance as that of which men receive. The! are given e=#alopport#nities to hold high positions. The! are also rea/ing theeing domesticated and sta! at home as wives or mothers.
