Software Asset Management (SAM) is a business process that enables customers to gain control of their IT environment. SAM encompasses the people, infrastructure and processes necessary for the effective management, control and protection of the software assets within an organization, throughout all stages of their lifecycle.

The SAM Tele Consultant is the primary person responsible for all aspects of Microsofts Tele SAM process through Tele engagements with customers. The SAM Consultant will call each customer to introduce the SAM process and assist them in understanding the SAM process and the benefits to them. The Tele SAM consultant will follow up regularly with the customer on the phone, aiding the customer with any licensing queries that they might have, and following through to the completion of the process with each customer.

The role requires an individual with the discipline and structure to manage SAM projects to completion, while at the same time being engaged in many different cases.
