The following suggestions are addressed to the retailer, personnel and/ or any person in charge involved in its installation. Please read the following instructions carefully before using the rubbish chutes and any of its parts. We strongly recommend the user carefully adheres to the instructions herein in order to optimise product efficiency and guarantee safety and environmental protection. These instructions (also available on www.tekcnoplast.it) must be made available to consult at all times to any personnel using the equipment.

ON RECEIPT OF GOODSVerify product integrity. Advise Tekcnoplast immediately of any: possible anomalies, possible missing parts

BEFORE USE• It is important to install specific or general protection systems on each floor; in order to avoid the accidental falling of persons;• It is mandatory to use gloves, helmets and protective glasses;• A rope should be used for every four conveyors to fasten the column to the scaffolding or the building to reduce oscillation during discharging operations;• Verify the safety conditions of the surrounding environment;• Appropriately inform all personnel on the worksite or place of work;• Place all necessary safety signs;• Allow access only to authorised staff equipped with appropriate safety measures and prohibit access to any persons not equipped with necessary safety measures;• For the safety of personnel involved directly or indirectly in the work in hand delimit the area of discharge with barriers and forbid entrance to that area• Verify that the support is properly fixed and is in good condition without breaks and advanced oxidations;• Check that each chain has two washers positioned near the upper and lower edges of the rubbish chute;• Check that the hook is clasped tightly to the insert positioned at the extremity of the chain;• Do not place the chain on the tip of the hook;• Inform any personnel present on worksite that the discharging of material will begin;• Only the operator in charge is allowed to perform unloading;• Check that chains and safety hook are without anomalies;• Do not lengthen the chain with any other parts;• Arrange an additional support every 7 metres to directly anchor the conveyors;• In order to avoid the build-up of rubble and the obstruction of the column, leave at least 1 metre between the last rubbish chute and the receiving container, with the latter being emptied regularly;• The installation, check, and maintenance of the unit must be performed in absence of falling objects;• An empty space of at least 40 cm must be left around the column of rubbish chutes;• Should the column exceed 7 metres, a braking device must be used every 3 metres or every 3 conveyors; adopt all necessary safety measures.• Insert the braking device in the upper end of the column maintaining ring upwards and the tabs downwards

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS• Anchor the hopper to a solid surface (a supporting /load-bearing wall) fit to support the weight of the column; in the proximity of the length of the column adopt all necessary provisions as outlined in the conditions of use;• Insert the hopper into the support ;• Use the supports in proximity of the length of the column as indicated;• Use necessary accessories;• Assemble the chutes on a flat surface (on the ground, on a street level etc ). Once hooked up, appropriately transport chutes up to the hook with necessary supports;• Use the same procedure to disassemble;• Adopt all necessary safety measures.

IT IS FORBIDDEN• To lean into the chutes during use;• To install or use the rubbish chutes during strong winds or storms;• To stand very close to the reception point or inside the sectioned off work area;• To use chutes and their parts under any conditions different to those specified in this document;• To unload objects heavier than 5 kgs (kilograms) and wider than 30cm (centimetres) that could cause obstruction within the rubbish chutes;• The use of any corrosive substances that could corrode or damage the rubbish chutes;• To empty fresh concrete or any other liquid down the rubbish chutes;• To insert the column into a hole with a diameter of less than 140cm (holes in floors, roofs etc etc);• To form pronounced curves in the chute column. Such curves will sustain a greater damage impact and abrasion due to falling rubble.

DURING USE• Check that the hook does not become unscrewed from the insert applied to the end of the chain;• Check that the hook does not exceed a deformation of 0,25%; should this percentage be exceeded the hook must be substituted immediately with a new hook supplied by Tekcnoplast;• Always check that no rubble is left on inner walls as this would increase unit weight and could obstruct the passage of voluminous scrap and cause plugs;• Be reminded that it is dangerous to lean near the column.

MAINTENANCE• Check that the fastening elements are safely secured to the building or scaffolding on a daily basis;• Check the chains and the fastening elements of the chutes on a daily basis;• Disassemble and substitute the chutes and their parts when worn as they constitute a risk for the user.

AFTER USE• Preserve products in dry places to avoid oxidation of metallic parts;• For improved stability we suggest storing the chutes with the upper edge facing downwards on• Never leave load hanging and unguarded.

The condition that the bottom chute has no chains and/or hooks.
