TEIN NOC Evaluation Survey carried out with NRENs partners on May 2013
Evaluation Results: Partners are satisfied with the existing TEIN NOC services and have recommended
that the services to be continued. Total 16 partners are participated except 3 non-directly connected.
To extend the existing TEIN NOC services by Tsinghua Univ. until the end of 2014.
During 2014, a new tender for TEIN NOC will be made, starting from January 2015.

PoP: Maintaining for the current SG POP, the provider will be replaced on October 2013.
Equipment: Will replace the oldest router in TEIN BJ PoP : Q3~Q4 2013
TEIN4 Activities on 2013 - Feasibility Studies -
Feasibility Study on 2013
Afghanistan The SILK-Afghanistan project (funded by NATO and USA) provides high-speed internet
access via satellite and fibre optic cable to 18 Afghan universities as well as some governmental
institutions in Kabul. The 2nd phase of the project will run from June 2013 to June 2015.
An international link (155M) to the GÉANT router in Vienna has been launched.
Received TEIN4 LoI from Afghanistan, and formally accepted by the EC (June 2013)
Mongolia The final report for the Mongolia feasibility study has been done.
Myanmar Myanmar submitted the proposal on the middle of June, and it is still going on.
