Mitch Resnick
serves as the head of the Media Arts and Sciences academic program at the MIT
Media Lab
![Page 3: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
His Talk, titled “Let’s Teach Kids to Code”, Mitch explains thatkids today are familiar with the interactivity of technology,
but not fluent in creating these technologies!
![Page 4: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
Thesis: help young people become fluent, soThey can write and be creative and express
themselves with these technologies using coding
![Page 5: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
Mitch captured the audience by
showing how creative kids can be with
coding
![Page 6: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Mitch kept the audiences attention with an interactive
game built by code using their voices and participation
![Page 7: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Mitch has obeyed all TED Commandments
His passion and curiosity has lead him to
create fun filled learning
programs that teach kids to
code
![Page 8: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Mitch produced some laughs, but could have exercised
commandment VIII a little more, adding
more humorous stories in his speech
![Page 9: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
Dynamism 3.8/5Mitch is very passionate about
his main topic, he is highly educated in his field and he is able to articulate his findings very fluently. Although he is a
leader in his field I felt that Mitch could of brought more humor in his presentation, at
times his delivery felt dry.
![Page 10: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
Mitch followed Nancy Duarte’s rule 2 by spreading his ideas of what he
was passionate about and moved the audience using is interactive
presentation
![Page 11: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
He also followed Garr Reynold’s principle of restraint by identifying what is important and
communicating that to the audience.
![Page 12: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
Even though you have an important topic or idea you may want to spread, getting your audience
engaged interactively is key to getting your message across
![Page 13: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
Mitch and Ken are very similar in how passionate they are about their topics and how they relay that
passion as data to their audience
![Page 14: TED Slideshare powerpoint](https://reader036.vdocuments.mx/reader036/viewer/2022062513/55656388d8b42a034f8b5165/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
One key way these two speaker’s are different, is that Ken Robinson
incorporates a lot of humor and witty banter in his presentations

Tips for my classmates:
Laughter is the best medicine
