Process/Steps of Entering from Convetional to
Precast Concrete Construction
Prepare the initial master plan layout of the project with the architect.
Appoint the precast structural consultant and finalize the architectural layout of the buildings with
changes, if required, to make it as “precast friendly“ project.
Make the feasibility study of various possibilities (conventional vs precast Framed Structure vs
Precast Load Bearing Structure) and decide at the most economical building type.
Decide the different type of precast elements to be produced in this project as per design.
Analyze the various precast machinery solutions available and finalize the machinery most suitable to
produce the required precast elements over a period of time.
Planning in each and every step is the most important aspect of successful precast. Make prior
planning for the entire project and start implementation.
