Interpreters: Interpreters in Turkish, Arabic and Vietnamese are available to enrol your child, but you must make an appointment.

SCHOOL HATS AND SUNSCREEN Meadow Heights Primary is a SunSmartSchool. We have a policy where students must wear a legionnaire or wide brimmed hat while outside. In Term 1 and

Term 4 the wearing of an appropriate hat is COMPULSORY. Students without appropriate hats in Term 1 and 4 must sit in the shade during their am and pm breaks, NO HAT - NO PLAY! Please support our efforts to teach your child about the importance of being SunSmart by providing your child with an acceptable hat. It is also advisable that your child has SPF 30+ sunscreen applied to exposed skin in Term 1 and Term 4.

being treated for cancer.

RECYCLE YOUR OLD & UNUSED MOBILES Have you got an old or unused mobiles at home? If you do, please bring them into school to be recycled. You can put

them in the Container, located at the office. From each mobile that is recycled, the school gets $2. The money will be put to-wards improving our garden at school.

Stranger Danger Safety

Remind children

Safety with a group. Always walk with at least one friend,

two three is even better.

If a stranger offers you a ride, so “NO” and stay far away

from their car.

If a stranger follows you on foot, get away from him or her as

quickly as you can. You can run and yell loudly “HELP”!.

If a stranger follows you in a car, turn around and go the other

direction.

Never leave school with a stranger.

Tell a trusted adult if a stranger is hanging around the school

or playground.

Never accept things from a stranger.

If a stranger asks you a question, don’t talk to them. Run

away.

Don’t go anywhere with a stranger.
