Technical Sheet – Flower vases for tombstones Features, size and mounting methods

General features

One of the essential elements of a tombstone is undoubtedly the flower vase and that’s why Real Votiva

produces a wide range of flower pots and trays. The materials used are bronze, porcelain and steel while

the interior of the vase are available in copper or plastic.

Typically, the flower vases can be mounted on vertical surface (tombstone) or on horizontal surface

(horizontal shelf, tomb or monuments). In addition, there are a series of encased models. The articles

include fastening material (bolts and nuts).

Vases are available both in simple material like bronze, black or white porcelain and steel, or in various

colours, such as chromium, mercury, glitter, marble. Many models are hand decorated or embellished

with bronze finish and decorations, such as roses, vines, doves and gold decorations.

Bronze vases are particularly beautiful and elegant products produced with the lost wax casting and shell

moulding techniques.

These products are covered with a special coating that ensures weatherproof and are very useful especially

for outdoors planted graves.

Flower vases sizes

Vases sizes range from 13 cm to 32 cm in height (H). For some particular models, such as encased vases,

there might also be indicated the diameter.

How to mount the flower vase

As mentioned above, the flower vases can be mounted either on the wall or vertical surface (tombstone)

or on level ground or floor (horizontal shelf, tombs or monuments).

Wall mounted vases are characterized by the fact that the item code starting with the letter P, for example,

P.03.1230/22; after the first letter there is the category code ("03" stands for “vases”), then the

identification code, "1230", and finally the height, i.e. "/22" indicating 22 cm. All vases are equipped with a

removable inner vase in plastic or copper; for plastic interior the item code is followed by the letters "PL",

for example, P.03.1230/22/PL, while for copper interior the item code is followed by the letters "RA", for

example, P.03.1230/22/RA.

Wall mounted vases (P)

Wall mounting is done by two set screws (A, B) that, on one side, screws on the two spacers on the back of

the vase, while on the side of the plaque are fixed with two dice. The installation requires two holes in

correspondence of the two set screws. At the bottom of the vase there is a small hole (1) to drain water.

Ground mounted vases (T)

Ground mounted vases item codes start with the letter T, for example, T.03.1230/22.

Ground mounting is done by two set screws (A, B) that screw on the base of the vase and that are attached

to the surface by two nuts. The installation requires two holes in correspondence of the two set screws. At

the bottom of the vase there is a small hole (1) to drain water.
