Welcome to our first newsletter of 2021 and whilst it hasnrsquot started quite as we had all hoped we do hope you your families and friends are all very well and staying safe

The coming months are once again un-certain but we would like to assure all of our customers that we are here to help with all of your drive solution needs

COMPANY NEWSNEW YEAR NEW MOVE

The start of 2020 began with all hands-on deck Our custom-built manufacturing extension was now complete and it was time to relocate the 5 CNC Milling Machines and 5 CNC Turning Machines 45 miles along the Motorway The move was complete after 2 gruelling weeks and the team worked so hard to ensure that our customers received an uninterrupted supply of parts

The Manufacturing Manager Sam Osman says ldquoitrsquos fantastic to have not only all operations un-der one roof but to have the team all together has completely transformed how Techni Engineering operate on a daily basisrdquo The relocation has allowed Techni to now manufacture in house 85 of the parts present in our mount kits

VAMOS ESPANA

Brexit seemed to be overshadowed by COVID-19 in 2020 but as a business it was imperative that we prepare for a worst-case scenario of leaving the EU In December we announced the opening of Techni SL Spain to enable our European customers to buy our products directly from our new facility in Spain

Techni SL is to open in Spain for logistical ease for our European customers by offering continued uninterrupted distribution to the EU regardless of the outcomes of Brexit We want to ensure that our customers have a smooth unrestricted service when placing orders with Techni

It will remain our number 1 priority to continue to provide our customers with the same high level of customer service and exceptional kit quality that would have been received from our facility based in the UK

Techni SL will be run and managed by a relocated team from Techni Ltd in the UK However due to the current travel restrictions in the UK this team has been unable to leave the country As soon as they are able to get on Spanish soil Techni SL Spain will be fully operational This is a really exciting opportunity for Techni to have a Development and Distribution centre on the continent and we are excited to watch this business develop over the coming 12 months

Techni have designed and released a new com-pressor mount kit for the Mercedes Sprinter RWD (907) with the new 20L OM654 diesel engine with factory fitted +N63 option The kits arecompatible with Ear Mounted (EM) Valeo and Que compressors A Reduced Compressor Speed kit is also available Both kits feature heavy duty belts for increased service life Additional kits for vehicles without N63 are due to be released shortly we will also have kits available soon for QPTM21 compressors with or without N63

NEW MOUNT KIT - Mercedes Sprinter FWD (910) 21L

A revised and easier to install kit was released for the Mercedes Sprinter (910) FWD with OM651 engine for vehicles with AC

This FWD vehicle is due to change over to the new OM654 engine during 2021 Techni plans to have kits available at launch for vehicles with and without AC and N63

NEW MOUNT KIT - Maxus Deliver 9 20L (OE AC Removed)

Techni designed and released two new compressor mount kits for the new Maxus Deliver 9 vehicle These suit the FWD or RWD variants These vehicles are not available to order without AC therefore these kits remove the factory fitted AC compressor replacing it with the Techni mounting bracket and compressor The kits are compatible with Direct Mount (DM) Valeo and Que compres-sors Kits to retain AC are currently being designed

In August 2020 Techni released a new compres-sor mount and drive kit for the Mercedes Sprint-er 2019 MY with the new 20L 14 (M275 DE) PetrolGas engine The kits are compatible with Sprinter 15002500 Cargo Passenger and Crew Vans The kit is compatible with Ear Mounted (EM) Valeo Que and Sanden compressors

In April 2020 Techni released a newCompressor Mount Kit available for the Ford Tran-sit 35L EcoBoost 35L PFDi Gas engines The kits are compatible with Dual Alternator option code (63C) and Ambulance Prep code (47B47) They are also designed to meet Fordrsquos BEMM (Body Equipment Mounting Manual) standards

The New compressor mount kits have been designed with a separate belt drive The separate Gates EPDM belt makes the compressor drive totally independent of the main engine drive belt increasing the reliability

NEW MOUNT KIT - Renault Master Opel (Vauxhall) Movano Nissan NV400 FWD

In 2020 Techni released a new compressor mount kit for the new Euro 6d versions of the Opel (Vauxhall) Movano Renault Master and Nissan NV400 The kits are compatible with Ear Mounted (EM) Valeo Que and Sanden compressors The kits are suitable for vehicles with or without PTO but are not compatible with Tecshift Quickshift Automatic Robotised Gearbox Stop Start options A Reduced Com-pressor Speed kit is available These kits require minimal disassembly of the vehicle and therefore quicker and easier to install than our competitors

Techni released a new compressor mount and drive kit for both single and bi turbo versions of the new Euro 6d-TEMP VW Transporter T61 20L without AC Taking drive from the OE Crankshaft pulley the kit is quick and simple to install The kit is suitable for all gearbox versions and also 4-Motion vehicles The kit is compatible with Ear Mounted (EM) Valeo and Que compres-sors and features an automatic belt tensioner to ensure the correct belt tension is set and main-tained

Techni have designed and released a new com-pressor mount and drive kit for the single turbo version of the new Euro 6d-TEMP VW Transport-er T61 20L The separate Gates EPDM belt independent of the main drive belt increases reli-ability and allows the user to retain AC The kit is available for vehicles with and without AC and is compatible for 4-Motion vehicles and all gearbox options The kit is compatible with Ear Mounted (EM) Valeo and Que compressors Please note that the kit does not suit BiTdi vehicles as these have a larger high pressure fuel pump and a dif-ferent timing belt housing

When we look back over the last 12 months we think we can all agree that 2020 was not quite what any of us had imagined We are mindful that this is a difficult time for many in the world however now is the time to reflect on the positives of the year and at Techni we are looking forward to 2021

We are pleased to say that 2020 has continued to bring great change for Techni The yearstarted with the completion of our custom-built manufacturing and workshop extensions to house the relocation of our Engineering Company from Tipton in the West Midlands to our Head Offices in Shrewsbury We were fortunate enough to have the building and relocation completed just days before COVID-19 hit the country The expansion and investment has allowed us to increase our manufacturing capacity thus enabling us to now produce approximately 85 of our components used in our kits in house

With the outcome of Brexit now confirmed we are all learning the new ways of moving goods between the UK and EU There have been some changes to our export processes however we are currently opening a new Design and Distribution Centre in Southern Spain to service our EU customers Unfortunately due to travel restrictions we are experiencing some delays in opening Techni SL Spain but we hope that as soon as the travel bans are raised we can get this moving again

We have looked back with amazement on 2020 which has thrown many challenges to us all in very different ways but the year has flown past Philip and I have been unable to return to the UK from our facility in the USA but want to thank everyone at Techni for their hard work dedication and resilience during the past 12 months to maintain the consistent supply of goods to our customers whilst ensuring the utmost quality during these unprecedented times

Our USA team has been expanding with 2 new employees joining us to keep up with the expo-nential growth of the American and Canadian markets We see great potential in these markets and look forward to further expansion in 2021

The support from you our customers has been remarkable and we thank you for working so close-ly with Techni over the past 12 very difficult months

We all look forward now to 2021 and the challenges that face us this is an exciting time for us at Techni and we again thank you for entrusting in us
