A mysterious castle, The evening falls, Alden Biesen comes to life, Step through the gate, turn on your tablet and walk along in the story, Present and past merge into one big adventure full of spectacular image, sound and light effects. The brand-new spearhead 'The conspiracy' of Bilzen Mysteries is an interactive game for young and old, armed with tablet and a large portion of detective talent you gradually unravel the solution of the mystery. You explore the historical domain of Alden Biesen in a playful and exciting way. Commissioner Angel and her assistant De Wolf (played by actors Joke Devynck and Jeron Dewult) will give you riddles and tips, Let go of the detective in you and see what others don't see!

3. PICNIC IN THE ORCHARDSOUTDOOR

The title itself needs no further explanation... Picnicking in the orchards of Alden Biesen (located at 150m from the hotel) is the ideal way to fill in the lunch break during your seminar/congress/meeting. An afternoon picnic in nature has a calming effect, so that everyone can get back to work with a fresh head after lunch.

4. BAREFOOT PATHOUTDOOR

Walking through the wilderness on bare feet... Is there a greater sense of freedom than that? The Lieteberg offers the first barefoot path in Flanders. Walk on wood, stones, tree chips, grass, loam and through water on a carefully composed trail of almost three kilometers long, which is only accessible... barefoot! With its ponds, sand hills, steep slopes, etc., the barefoot path not only offers variety, but also excitement and experience, a wooden watchtower, a maze and a suspension bridge make this special experience even more special.

5. RAILBIKEOUTDOOR

In Bilzen you can ride rail bikes from Munsterbilzen to Gellik. The track is 6 km long and takes the rail bikers through beautiful landscapes. There is a picnic area in Gellik. In Gellik you turn around and cycle back to Munsterbilzen. The rides takes about 1.5 hours.

6. CITY GOLFOUTDOOR

The idea behind the City Golf concept is that instead of playing golf on a golf course, people play golf at locations that lend themselves to it in the city centre of Bilzen. These locations are the holes of the course and together form the touristic heart of Bilzen. In contrast to classical golf, the ball is not hit to a hole in the ground, but to targets that are already in the city, such as statue, bench, flag, ... To increase the challenge, all the scores of the participants are thoroughly noted on a scorecard and the person with the least number of strokes is the winner. In short, one explores the city in a playful, competitive and instructive way.

6. WINE CASTLE OF GENOELSELDEREN

Between Tongeren and Maastricht, along the old Roman roads, in the municipality of Riemst, lies the only Wine Castle of Belgium. This is not by accident, as the Romans had already vineyards in this area some 2000 years prior.

The Wine Castle of Genoels-Elderen is with its 25 hectares of vineyards, the largest wine domain in the country, and welcomes every year some 15000 visitors. Guides will show you around the park, the vineyards, a rose garden, the distillery, the press house and the cellars which date from the 13th to the 20th century.

You make a walk through the park, around the castle with a splendid arboretum, the rose garden and the largest vineyards of Belgium. You visit the old chariot house which contains the most modern grape press, the distillery, and the antique and modern wine cellars.To finish off, you taste our wines in the wine house.
