Welcome toTeam TalkJanuary 2014

02

There’s a reason that the top ten New Year’s resolutions tend not tovary too much from year to year – people break them. Full of determination, you plungeinto January with a brand spanking new gym membership and a cupboard full of lentils, but before you know it, you’re slumped on the sofa with a bargain bucket of chicken anda tub of ice cream, promising yourself that tomorrow will be a better day.

Don’t chastise yourself – you’re not alone! There’s a reason that those pesky resolutionsare so hard to stick to and it’s because we get motivation mixed up with discipline.Admittedly, ’motivated‘ sounds a far more fun state to be in than ’disciplined’, but it’s thelatter that will get you achieving those goals.

You see, motivation is a bit of a fickle friend. It comes and goes however it wants. Itmight not last until the end of the week, end of the day or even until the end of the hour. It’s all situational and based on how you feel. If you’re not feeling up to it, you don’t haveto do it. However, if you don’t do it, you feel even worse. A vicious circle that can leaveyou in a worse situation than you started off in.

Discipline, on the other hand, is a rather more productive kettle of fish. Discipline isn’tfleeting. By its very nature, it’s habitual. Doing something day in, day out is what makes itdiscipline. It’s an intentional act.

Ok, no one’s going to get the pom poms and whistles out for discipline, but it’s howyou’ll see results and how you’ll achieve those goals.

Before you start thinking I’m maligning motivation, it’s not all bad! Motivation is yourstarting point and is actually vital to the whole process. Whatever it is thatgets you motivated – an event, a book, a training, looking at a picture of a rather sun-soaked Jamaicanshore every day – use it! Just don’t be lulled into a falsesense of security that this will be enough. Solidify thatmotivational energy into a plan and a set of disciplinesand you’ll soon find that the two work in perfect harmony.

Why was Jamaica chosen as the Destinationfor 2015?It is an evocative location. It’s one that so many peoplewant to go to, but very few have. From all ourconversations with hundreds of people throughout theNetwork, people obviously love beaches and warm seaand this destination epitomises that. The pressure was onafter Dubai and the Maldives to make it as spectacularand even I worried for a moment that we weren’t going tobe able to do it. But judging from the response, we’vedefinitely done it.

What makes this Destination different? It’s a 400 acre resort. There are incredible private villaseach with their own pool. Over 50 swimming pools are onone resort and the whole place is surrounded by theCaribbean Sea. There’s a self-enclosed dolphin cove and iteven has its own equestrian centre.

What’s the first thing you should do once you decideyou want to qualify for a Destination?Set a plan and work backwards from when you want tobreak Bronze. Know what Bronze means and understandthe amount of work it takes to get there. Discuss that planwith your Upline and then work on it. We will be revealingour European Destination soon and you can find thecriteria on page 8. Use that Destination as a steppingstone for your team to get to Jamaica.

There will be a lot of new people in the Network now. What chance do they have of qualifying? They can, of course, qualify. With hard work anddetermination. We have had people go Bronze within 9months or less of being in the business, so it’s verypossible. Just have a plan and know what it takes – don’tcharge into it blindly.

What determines how you go about deciding oncriteria? As a whole, this criteria encourages growth inDistributorships and in the business. With Jamaica, though, I also took into account that this would help themmaintain their businesses too.

If you have any further questions about the Destinationcriteria, you can email Michael [email protected].

Craig White, Premier Executive Distributor

“We all joined for money inthis business, but the joy ofhelping people is absolutelypriceless. We are all businessowners, though, so to leadpeople to success is to leadyourself first. Show up andtake responsibility forcoaching of yourself. Ifyou’re used to being anemployee, you’re used to

someone telling you what to do. You need to changeyour mind set to that of an MD.”

Abigail Colclough, SilverSenior Executive Distributor

“This time last year, we were13%, but we made the decisionto be in Dubai. Making thedecision is the hardest thing! We had the same cataloguesas you, the same kind ofcustomers as you – the same

opportunity as anyone else. What you make of it is upto you. You’ve got to be in Jamaica, because theDestinations are fantastic. By qualifying for theseconferences, it is actually a measure of your success.”

Andy Nicoll, Senior Distributor

“Adam and I started in April2009 after he’d been laid offfrom work. I still work fulltime as a university lecturerand work Kleeneze parttime. There’s no point ingiving it a little go. If you’regoing to do it, you need toreally go for it. It doesn’tmatter who you are, if youhave a good work ethic,

you can make it in this business. Remember, youcan become anyone that you want to and how you’regoing to live your life.”

Debbie Heron, Silver Executive Distributor

“I got so excited whenJamaica was announced asthe Destination in 2015.You need to take actiontowards your goals, evenwhen the results aren’tshowing. Don’t take yourfoot off that pedal. Millions of viewers will have already seen Kleeneze’s brand new television advert featuringAngela Griffin, which means millions of potential prospects for you!

RecruitmentTV advertising Ad’ to your success

in 2014!

The advert, first aired on 12 January, is set to runthrough the whole of February featuring on all themain TV advertising channels. It’s a quirky, memorable campaign that, together with your help,is bound to heighten the brand image, reputationand generate thousands of new leads.

Two years ago, when we ran an advertisingcampaign, we saw catalogue requests triple and asteep growth in Distributor numbers. More brandawareness means sales naturally increase, as morepeople open the packs and order from you.Sponsoring will naturally increase too, as people’sawareness of a brand seen on TV changes theirperception of the business.

So what can you do to help take this life changingopportunity to more people than ever before andensure you get the maximum results from theTV campaign?

Retail, retail, retail!

Yes, we saw an increase in sales during the lastcampaign, but customers can only order from whatthey see. Make sure you have as many cataloguesout in as many homes as possible and the results willspeak for themselves.

Contact your warm market

Don’t watch someone you know cross the stage atthe next conference and kick yourself for not having

asked them to join your team! This advert will turn theperception of the business, so if you haven’t contactEVERYONE you know, you’re missing a trick.

Three Foot Rule your way to a bigger business

Quite simply put, the Three Foot Rule states thatwhenever you’re within three feet of someone, youshould talk to them about your business and thepotential it can provide.

This may sound daunting to some people, but it’s theeasiest, most natural thing you can do – and nowyou have the added advantage of being able toopen the conversation with “have you seen mybusiness on TV?”

Page 23: Team talk-issue-january 2014 kleeneze

23

Remember, the advert will not be nearly aseffective unless YOU support it.

Hundreds of thousands of potential customersand prospects will hear about the Kleenezeopportunity, so make sure you get to them first!Create the leads now and the advert will helpyou convert them!

Catalogue like crazy and blanket drop like abanshee! Make sure everything you send out isbranded – including yourselves! Now is the timefor this business to see amazing growth. Don’tget left behind!
