Unfortunately, there is a fee to park per the University of Louisville’s event parking policies. We are working to determine if there is enough room on site, to

provide each team with one parking space per day. This will be announced viathe Baja SAE app if it is possible.

WARNINGThere are 2 low clearance

underpasses on 3rd St (between Brook St. and Eastern Pkwy). DO NOT attempt to go underneath

them with your trailer or box truck! You might not have a

roof if you do!

This entrance is for TRAILERS & VOLUNTEERS ONLY. All other team vehicles must park in the 3rd St. parking lot or any other location

designated on Page 5.

COVID-19 MITIGATION PROTOCOLS

This is summary of the Baja SAE Louisville Validation Event Risk Mitigation Addendum. The full document may be found online under Series Resources at BajaSAE.net.

CORE STRATEGIES:• Daily Health Check/Temperature Scans• Social Distancing, minimum of 6 feet• Required PPE: Masks, face shields, gloves, etc.• Increased sanitization • Minimizing Physical Contact• Communication strategies that support all the above

ATTENDANCE RESTRICTIONS:• Team size restrictions will be imposed for 2021 Baja SAE Louisville to

comply with state, federal and venue policies. Teams will be allowed 11 team members onsite plus 1 faculty advisor.

• To ensure safety of all participants onsite, the 2021 competition will be closed to spectators.

COVID-19 SAFETY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT WAIVER:• All entrants to the Drop Forge Proving Grounds are required to sign and

provide a copy of the waiver daily• The waiver can be downloaded from BajaSAE.net• Please bring your own copy to help speed up the check-in process each day

COMPETITION OCCUPANCY DISCLAIMER:Kentucky local government and facility govern and decide outdoor restriction gathering sizes for our competition operations. It is possible prior to the competition, the team limits may change, we will update students if this happens. Based on restrictions at the time of the event, students may be asked to perform volunteer duties on specific days if we are at risk of exceeding max occupancy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WILL FOOD BE AVAILABLE ON SITE?Since we are located in downtown Louisville, there will be NO FOOD SERVICES onsite. A grilling area will be available near the Tech Tent for your team to cook food on site if you choose (grills NOT provided).

WHERE CAN I SEE THE RESULTS OF THE EVENTS?Unofficial event scores can be viewed live through the Baja SAE App.

WHERE DO WE LINE UP TO GET INTO THE DROP FORGE PROVING GROUNDS ON THURSDAY?

At your hotel! DO NOT LINE UP ON BROOK ST. We are competing in the middle of downtown Louisville; we cannot block traffic. If you are lined up on Brook St. before the organizers are on site, you will be sent around the block and to the back of the line.

WHAT DO WE DO IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER?Pay attention to the Baja SAE App. We will announce the need to take shelter in the event of weather in that manner. Depending on the severity, we will either ask you to shelter in your cars, evacuate the site to the J.B. Speed School of Engineering Campus, or send you back to your hotels. The all clear will then be communicated through the Baja SAE App.

WE NEED TO UNLOAD OUR CAR, CAN WE DRIVE BACK TO THE PADDOCKS?

Box Trucks and Trucks pulling trailers will be the only vehicles allowed into the paddocks during Baja SAE Louisville. If you do not wish to carry items in from your car, make sure that it is in your trailer prior to arrival at DFPG.
