The purpose of history as a subject:
• to contribute to the development of students as independent and responsible people
• to develop the ability of critical thinking
• to encourage a positive effect on the society and environment

Objectives of teaching history
selecting relevant historical contents
to encourage students to expolre, to analyse historical events, facts, information and people in a critical way and to develop their sense of objectivity

Tasks of teaching history • students learn about major events • to practice orientation in space and time• to learn through different interpretations
of the past (documentary films, museum exhibitions, Internet, documents, historical books,...)
