Colorful My
Villa
Salaam ‘alaikum, would you like a tourOf my house, here in Saudi Arabia?Welcome to my sweet villa, come in
please,Please remember to say ‘mashaAllah!’
When you enter our house, you first see this –
On your right – our violet living room‘Tis purple themed and smells like
lavenderThe floors of our house we daily
vacuum.
On your left you’ll find our kitchen –so bright
Its yellowness may increase appetiteOur kitchen is yellow –like fresh lemons
Its bright color gives us inspirations
This is where my family and I dine,We’d rather sit on the floor than on
chairs,Our dining room is mostly white, white –
aColor that’s pure –a color that is fair
This is where my family and I read -Islamic books and books of various
kinds,Books and writings of many languages –
Books I love to read –for they strengthen minds.
This is the bedroom of my twin brothers,
Its theme is blue and walls are like the skies
At night –full of glitter twinkling bright. When it’s sleeping time –’tis an
awesome sight!
Now this is my older brother’s bedroomHe is ‘serious’, and seriously loves
blackHe is smart at school, at times laid-
back, butSteal his stuff and he might give you a
whack!
This is my bedroom, facing my brothers’,
Welcome! Of my bedroom what do you think?
This is where I sleep, write, study and pray
It smells like strawberries… the theme is pink!
This is bathroom one, right next to my room,
The theme is brown –like the trunk of a tree,
The walls are as brown as sandy mountains
My brothers and I always keep this clean
My folks’ bedroom, the biggest of all rooms,
Is as green as grass, has vine trees hanging,
Their room is like a forest; to sleep hereIs peaceful, indeed, and quite relaxing!
This bathroom is next to my parents’ room –
It always smells like citrus –sour and sweet
Its bright orange theme can make one cheery
We also wash our clothes here twice a week
This is the garage, where Dad parks our car,
Where our car gets fixed and washed every week,
Our car is silver, always shines… its shade
Is like a gray wolf’s fur that’s cool and sleek
This is my family, mashaAllah! My Dad can wrestle like a grizzly bearMy twin brothers look so much alike
andMy elder bro’s a lion when he stares
My twin brothers, though, are so different
In terms of personality. You see,One of them laughs as loud as hyenas,And the other smiles or laughs quietly.
My Mom’s hair is as black as a raven,And as wavy as the waves of the sea,
Mine, on the other hand, has pink highlights,
Some say my hair is like a blossom tree!
We are a happy Muslim family,We love each other, share much loyalty,We’re a flock of birds that fly togetherTo Allah Whom we love most eternally!
