A Comparison of Ancient Civilizations

I will be comparing the ancient Aztec civilization and the ancient Egyptian civilization. Both civilizations built many structures that we can still see and learn about, so I will compare and contrast their location and structures.

Ancient Egypt and the ancient Aztec world have many similarities, but the one I think is most interesting is that they both built structures in the shape of a pyramid. Both civilizations used giant stones to build these huge monuments, so both civilizations must have been excellent builders. The pyramids in Egypt and in Mexico are both famous tourist attractions that teach people in the modern world about ancient civilizations.

Ancient Egypt and the ancient Aztec world also have many differences. One big difference is the reason they built them. Ancient Egyptians built their pyramids as tombs for the pharaohs. A tomb is a resting place for the dead. Ancient Aztecs, on the other hand, built their pyramids as temples. They used the temples as a way to worship their gods. This difference may explain why the Egyptian pyramids are smooth on the outside and the Aztec pyramids have steps.

After comparing these civilizations, I want to know more about each culture. I believe these civilizations can teach us things about building and design. I also believe learning more about different cultures can help us to become a better and more educated society.
