What is the story about?
Who are the characters in the story?
Who is telling the story?
How do the pictures help you know more about the story?
How do you think the pictures in Arlo Needs Glasses were made?
Why do you think this?
We use lines to make art. Do you see any lines in this artwork? Where? What types of lines do you see?
Does Arlo look hard, & smooth or does he look soft & fluffy?
How can you tell?
When we use lines to show how something feels, we are creating
texture
Sometimes you can feel texture (like when you pet a fluffy dog).
Sometimes, you can see texture (like when you use lines to make
a drawing of a dog look fluffy).
These are all flat artworks. What type of texture does the artist want you to see (hard, soft,
rough, shiny, fluffy)?
We are going to use what we know about texture and lines to animate a picture of Arlo!
