The Organization As a member of the Teach For All Network, which includes Teach For America, Teach For China is an international educational non-profit committed to ending educational inequity in China by enlisting the most promising future leaders from the US and China to serve in the most under- resourced communities for two years. The Problem 80% of students growing up in rural areas have the opportunity to attend college. This is compared to less than 3% of students in rural areas. Teach For China believes this is a problem that should and can be solved. TEACH FOR CHINA LEAD FOR TOMORROW FELLOW SPOTLIGHT: Partner with Us. We are one of the few organizations that have official non-profit status with the government in the two provinces where we work: Yunnan and Guangdong. We work very closely with local partners in order to place our Fellows most appropriately in local Chinese public schools. Our government partners also partially fund our Fellows’ salaries. Who is eligible to apply? Anyone who is a US citizen and who has graduated from a US college/university can apply to be a US fellow. If you are a Chinese National, you may apply as a Chinese Fellow. What are you looking for in a candidate? We are looking for Fellows with the ability and conviction to change the lives of their students. Putting these children on fundamentally different life paths will require outstanding leadership skills, a relentless work ethic, and a deep belief in each and every student’s potential.
