I am honored and feel privileged that my friend and fellow farmer Jes Pascual is getting married on our farm today @ 12:00. Our farm will be closed to traffic for one hour during the wedding ceremony. This young couple also have a great printing business Prime Printing in Hyde Park the best in the Hudson Valley!

Liberty View Farm will be giving out healthy apples to artists, musicians and doctors @ O+ Festival.

O+ is a combined music/art/health festival taking place in Kingston during the peak season of autumn leaves & apples. Essentially, artists & musicians will be sharing their 'art medicine' in & around the uptown kingston neighborhood while doctors & healthcare providers will share their 'medicine arts' with the participating artists.

O+ is part art & music celebration, part urban renewal, part taking care of eachother, part social activism. there will be great bands, short films, 7 hour endurance performance by pioneer performance artist Linda Montano.

So many wonderful people and farmers in this area. A lot of us do cultivate one another like Sara and Kevin from Regeneration Farm. They have their CSA members buy their apple fruit shares from us and when they come over to harvest (as you can see below) we have a blast!

Sam & Erin from Second Wind Farm (on the left) also have their CSA members receive fruit from our farm but they actually pick all the fruit for their members by themselves.A lot of good people who really are down to earth. I am proud of all their hard work and enthusiasum. Naturally because of them I am also proud to be a Gay American Farmer in the remarkable Hudson Valley.

In four (very short) weeks, the NorthEast Two-Spirit Society (NE2SS), New York’s only non-profit organization solely dedicated to working with the LGBT Native American community, will host our 1st Annual NorthEast Two-Spirit Society Gathering, October 15-18th, 2010, at Camp DeWolf, on the scenic north shore of Long Island. Information on NE2SS and the Gathering can be found at www.ne2ss.org.
