This Tea for Two Gift Set is sure to make a good friend smile! The wall décor piece can be hung or set in a frame holder. The simple treat cone can be filled with any kind of yummy treat! And the Oh, Hello card will be

sure to set the tone for it all! This fun set would make a great class project too!

Instructions

Step 1

Cut the chipboard backing piece from the Silver Glimmer Paper pack to 8” x 8-1/2”. Use the Tabletop Paper Cutter, and be sure to hold the chipboard piece firmly in place with the plastic guides.

Cut the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper (DSP) pieces, 5-1/2” x 8” tea print, 2” x 8” Lucky Limeade print, 1-1/2” x 8” Calypso Coral polka dot; and ½” x 8” of Silver Glimmer Paper.

Take the 18” Crumb Cake 1/2” seam binding ribbon piece and cut one end into a fishtail (fold in half and cut at an angle). Place Sticky Strip along one 8” edge of the Calypso Coral polka dot piece of DSP. Peel off the red line, and gather the ribbon along the Sticky Strip. When you reach the end, cut that into a fishtail too.

Place Sticky Strip over the top edge of the gathered seam binding edge. Then stick the 8” piece of Victoria crochet trim along the Sticky edge, leaving about half of it hanging over the top edge. (From the back view you should see about ¼” hanging over.)

On the chipboard piece use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the ½” Silver Glimmer strip to the bottom 8” edge. Then use Grid Paper to help guide the next layer. Place the chipboard into the bottom corner of the Grid Paper. Put glue onto the back of the ribbon-layered piece. Lay that piece onto the chipboard, leaving only ¼” of the Silver Glimmer showing.

On the backside of the tea print DSP, place Sticky Strip along the bottom of the 8” edge. (Be careful that you put it on the bottom edge – check the writing on the front side!) Cut a fishtail on the end of an 18” Crumb Cake 1/2” seam binding ribbon piece, and then gather it along the entire edge. Trim, and cut a fishtail at the end.

Use the Big Shot and the Typeset Alphabet dies to die cut the letters F, R, I, E, N, D from the seven 1-1/2” x 2” pieces of Early Espresso card stock.

Step 8

Before gluing down the next two layers, lay the Lucky Limeade print piece in place. Then lay the tea print piece in place. Put the letter F onto the Lucky Limeade section, making sure there is enough height for the letters. You will then have to trim about ½” off the top edge of your tea print piece so that it will fit onto the chipboard. (It might vary – so do what fits!) Once that piece is trimmed, glue down all the layers. To help the gathered edge stay flat, you can also add Sticky Strip onto the bottom edge of the backside of the tea print layer.

Glue the rest of the letters in place, and then add an 8-1/4” x 8-3/4” piece of Early Espresso card stock onto the back of the chipboard.

To make the paper heart, cut two ½” x 10”, two ½” x 8” and two ½” x 6-1/2” strips of Calypso Coral card stock. (Hint – Break down the paper fibers by rubbing the strips along the edge of your table or desk. This will help the pieces bend without making harsh creases.) Then stack them in the order shown and use a Crop-A-Dile to punch a 1/8” hole though all six strips on one end. Next, take the two 18” Linen Thread pieces, together, and feed them through the holes. Loosely tie to temporarily hold them together.

Pull three strips over, lining up the ends, and punch a 1/8” hole. (Hint – Use the ¼” guide on the Crop-A-Dile to keep all the holes at a consistent distance from the ends.) Do this on both sides. Then untie the Linen Thread and feed it through all the holes.

Pull the Linen Thread tight and tie into a bow around the front of the strips, creating a heart. You shouldn’t need any adhesive yet!

Use the Big Shot with the Hearts Collection Framelits to die cut a small heart from the 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” Calypso Coral polka dot DSP and a #2 size heart from the 2” x 2” Silver Glimmer Paper.

On the backside of the Silver Glimmer heart, put Sticky Strip around the edges. (It doesn’t need to be neat or perfect!) Then gather a 12” piece of Crumb Cake 1/2” seam binding ribbon along the Sticky Strip.

Turn the gathered-edge heart over and use a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the small polka dot heart to the center.

Use Glue Dots to adhere the gathered heart to the paper strips heart. Place five or six Glue Dots down the center of the strips, and then press the gathered heart on top.

On the backside of the paper strips heart, put glue and then adhere to the chipboard piece above the “friend” section.

Use the Crop-A-Dile, with the 3/16” hole, and set at the ½” guide, to punch two larger holes on the top edge of the chipboard. With the 26” piece of Natural 7/8” cotton ribbon, fold it in half; tie a knot to make the top loop for hanging. Then feed the ends through the holes in the top of the chipboard. Cut the ends into fishtails. Then use the two 12” pieces to tie around the pulled-through fishtail ends. Your décor piece is ready to hang!

To make the card, fold the 4-1/4” x 11” piece of Crumb Cake card stock in half. Cut a 2-3/4” x 5” piece of Early Espresso card stock and a 2-1/2” x 4-3/4” piece of tea print DSP.

Place the tea print DSP onto the Grid Paper in the bottom left corner. Place a little mark at 1-1/4” for the center and then 1” up from that. Then place the piece into the Stampin’ Trimmer and cut to create a banner edge.

Glue the tea print piece to the Early Espresso piece, making it flush along the top edge. Then re-align it into the Stampin’ Trimmer and cut to make the edge match the sides.

Next, use the Big Shot and the Ovals Collection Framelits. First, stamp the OH, HELLO, in Calypso Coral and Early Espresso onto the 2” x 3” Very Vanilla card stock piece. Then use the smallest oval to die cut it. Use the 3” x 4” pieces of Calypso Coral polka dot DSP and Silver Glimmer Paper to die cut the #3 and #4 size ovals.

On the backside of the Very Vanilla oval place Sticky Strip around the edges, and use the 12” Crumb Cake ¼” seam binding ribbon to gather the edges. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back.

Glue the banner layer to the center of the card. Then add 36” Linen Thread, folded in half, around the center, and tied into a double bow.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the oval layers to the front.

To make the treat cone, use a 6” x 6” piece of Lucky Limeade print DSP. Roll the edges along the edge of a table to break down the fibers of the paper. Cut a triangle piece, about ½” tall, off the bottom corner. Then add Sticky Strip along the right edge of the trimmed off bottom. Adhere a 5-1/2” piece of Victoria crochet trim along the Sticky Strip.

Put another piece of Sticky Strip over the Victoria crochet trim. Peel off the red line backing, and adhere the two sides, creating a cone shape.

Place a small piece of Sticky Strip next to the crochet trim edge. (Fold over a little edge of the Sticky Strip so it goes just inside the cone too.) Use the 6” piece of Crumb Cake 1/2” seam binding ribbon and adhere it to the Sticky Strip, creating little ‘folds.’ Press the tail into the inside edge of the cone.

Use the Big Shot and the Hearts Collection Framelits to die cut two hearts. Use the 2” x 2” Calypso Coral polka dot DSP with the #2 heart; and the 1-1/2” x 1-1/2” Silver Glimmer Paper with the smallest heart. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the two hearts together and then onto the front of the cone. Fill with treats!
