Accident Insurance for
Group Accident Insurance for fishermen;
Fisheries Department clarifiesActive Fishermen". The
National Federation of
Fishermen's Cooperatives
Ltd. (FISHCOPFED), New
Delhi is the implementing
agency of the component
through Oriental
Insurance Co. and the
Department of Fisheries of
the Administration
functions as Facilitator.
Under this component,
the fishermen / nominees
of the fishermen are
eligible for Rs 2,00,000/-
against death or
permanent total disability,
Rs 1,00,000/- for partial
permanent disability and a
cover of Rs 10,000/-
towards hospitalization
expenses occurred due to
accidents.
The release further said
that as on date, about 06
insurance claims are
pending with the
