Abstract :
Belgaum,KARNATAKA The Angadi Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) here hasbeen recognised as a remote centre by the Indian Institutes of Technology o f Mumbai andRoorkee, to conduct various academic programmes for both students and teachers.
Institute chairman Suresh C. Angadi, MP, and principal H.N. Nagaraja said IIT, Mumbai, plannedto set up 300 such centres across the country, and the institute here was one of 30 identified sofar.MoU with TCS
Besides, Tata Consultancy Services and AITM would sign a memorandum of understanding touse the institutes premises for training programmes, they said.

India's biggest outsourcer Tata Consultancy Services warned Friday of "weakness" in globalmarkets, marking the latest downbeat comment to emerge from the country's flagship softwareindustry.
In the March-ended quarter, TCS beat analysts forecasts with a 23 percent rise in net profit, andgave a relatively optimistic outlook.
But its rivals Infosys and Wipro gave muted forecasts, warning of a tough year ahead due toglobal uncertainty and the growing anti-outsourcing sentiment in the United States.
"There is weakness in multiple markets, both developed and developing," TCS chief executive N.Chandrasekaran told the annual general meeting of the company which is due to report its first-quarter earnings next month. "The global business environment will be volatile and recovery aprolonged exercise," said Chandrasekaran.

New Delhi Having drawn considerable flak for water shortage this summer and struggling to plugleakages in its 16,000-km supply network, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), with technical support fromTata Consultancy Services (TCS), has developed a system to check revenue losses fromoutdated meters and faulty bills.
The five-year revenue management project that will set back the DJB by Rs 53 crore proposes abrand new consumer database. For accuracy, the number of electricity connections in the city willbe taken into account while feeding data into the system, which the DJB hopes should be readyby July-end.
