Mozart International Competition - Festival will be jointly conducted by the Art Academy and the

Music Academy. The competition is open to citizens of any country.

The competition will be held in the following specialties:

• Piano Solo

• Piano Duet

• Piano Duo

• Chamber Ensemble

• String Instruments

• Wind Instruments

The sequence of participants is determined by the alphabetical order.

All winners must be present at the closing ceremony of the competition. The winners of first prizes and

the Grand Prix should participate in the Festival concert.

Jury: jury has the right not to award prizes or to split prizes according to the number of participants.

The jury's decision is final and will not be subject to appeal.

Age category:

C "A" - 7-10 years inclusive

C "B" - 11-12 years old

C "C" - 13-14 years old

C "D" - 15-16 years old

C "E" - 17-20 years old

C "F" - 21-25 years old

C "G" - 26-40 years old

Participants must cover personally all costs associated with travel, lodging and meal expenses.

The program:

First round:

1. One composition by the choice of a competitor

2. Any composition of Mozart (separate movements of Sonata are allowed)

Second round:

Participants should repeat the Mozart composition they performed in the first Round.

Jury

Artistic Director

Valerian ShiukashviliPianist, founder and General Director of Nodar Gabunia International Piano Competition, General Director of Art Academy Georgia, director of UG Music Academy, Valerian Shiukashvili participated in many international music festivals and competitions. He serves as a jury member for various National and International piano competition and festivals. He had performances as a soloist and also with orchestras in Georgia, Russia, Japan, Israel and other countries.

Chairperson of the

Jury

Tamara Poddubnaya Professor and Dean of Music Department at Long Island Conservatory of Music, New York. She has adjudicated as a chairperson numerous international competitions and festivals, held master classes and performed all over the world. She was a co-founder of "Peter the Great Festival" in Netherlands, Portland International Piano Festival, "Music without Borders" International Piano Festival at Gould Academy, Bethel, ME. She is a holder of the Golden Muse and Si. Sophia Awards in Bulgaria.

Tatiana NechaevaTalented performer, docent of Piano Department at Saratov State Conservatory, head of Piano department at Sobinov Music College, Tatiana Nechaeva had been a jury member and co-founder of a number of international music festivals and competitions. She and her students had performed and won all over the world.

Tamara LicheliGifted soloist, Associate Professor of Tbilisi State Conservatoire. She’s a founder and artistic director of Tengiz Amirejibi International Music Festival and National Piano Competition, director of “classical music development foundation”. A prizewinner of numerous national and international competitions she serves as a jury member of different national and international competitions.

Tinatin GambashidzeLaureate of international trio competitions, co-founder of EVRUS Piano Trio, professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. The pianist became known through numerous solo performances with a number of orchestras.

Victoria Power one of Stockholm’s most sought after piano teachers and performers. Since 1998 she has been teaching piano at the music school Lilla Akademien in Stockholm, where she during the years has had a lot of students who have won frst prizes at international and national piano competitions. Aside from her work as a teacher, she is also a very engaged soloist, chamber musician, composer and arranger.

Margar Sedrakyan Famous pianist, piano teacher and lecturer at the Piano Department of Yerevan State Conservatory, head of the Piano Department at Sayat-Nova specialized music school. Winner of several international piano competitions, he had performances in Armenia, Russia, England, Japan, USA, Germany and Slovenia, he had been a member and a chair of the jury of national and international piano competitions.
