Objective
Seeking to enter into a graduate position upon the completion of a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at
the University of Sydney in 2016. I look forward to a challenging role, through which I can utilize skills
developed during university, placements and employment opportunities, learning under the guidance of
industry professionals.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, The University of Sydney (2013 – November 2016)
Throughout the completion of a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, there has been an opportunity to
engage in both practical experience and theory learning based activities, The degree has a strong
emphasis on developing a scientific background for students covering general areas of chemistry, biology
and mathematics, before focusing on a range of subjects including livestock handling, plant function,
food chemistry, entomology, soil properties, horticulture and the management of agro-ecosystems.
Thesis: Assessment of controls strategies for seedling disease in cotton, southwest NSW
Innovations in Environmental Sustainability, The University of Minnesota (July 2016) The completion of a short-term exchange at The University of Minnesota, USA with a focus on innovations in environmental sustainability will provide me the opportunity to learn from leading American experts in the fields of climate change and sustainability practices. The course will provide me with invaluable academic information and social experiences which I will benefit from both personally and professionally.
Sabina College, Strathfield (2005 - 2012)
During the completion of my Higher School Certificate at Santa Sabina College I was able to engage in
several leadership and co-curricular activities including Leader of the Environment Committee in
2010/2011, the undertaking of community service at the Catherine Sullivan Centre for hearing impaired
children, completion of Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and involvement in softball and basketball
sports.
Employment History
Intern at Horticulture Innovation Australia (September 2015 – December 2015) The completion of an internship program with Horticulture Innovation has provided valuable industry experience, working with members of the Research and Development and Stakeholder Engagement divisions. The internship provided opportunities to work independently and in a team environment on tasks assisting in the maintenance of current research tenders and future investments. I have been awarded a scholarship to attend the 18th Australian Cotton Conference taking place in
August, 2016. The opportunity to attend the conference and listen to experts in cotton research and
production will be a great learning experience, while facilitating networking for students within industry.
