3. CLOAKROOM & SPACE SAVING UNITSStorage in any bathroom is important, butmore important if your bathroom is small.Maximising space in cloakrooms and en-suites has now become a key prioritywith any new installation as it's importantthat this space works hard to include all thebathroom features you require.

Our 435mm, corner units and slimline width500mm WC back to wall units have beenspecifically designed to conceal unsightlypipework and maximise space in even thesmallest bathrooms, cloakrooms and en-suites. Not only do they offer solutions for

those bathrooms with awkward spaces, butthey provide that much needed storagewhich is particularly useful in small bathrooms.

4. MIRROR WITH DE-MISTER PADSHeated demister pads make steamy bathroom mirrors a thing of the past. The heated demister pad will heat the mirror to a few degrees above room temperature within 2-3minutes, preventing the mirror from mistingin even the steamiest of bathrooms. Thedemisting effect will spread approximately10-20% further than the pad itself. Evolutionmirror units have been carefully chosen to complement their respective base units.Specifications range from the simplicity of aplain mirror available with the 500mm unitthrough to the complete specification of mirror with lighting canopy, shelving andcupboard on the 1000mm unit.

8. TOILET SEATSThere are a number of toilet seats within theTavistock range to perfectly co-ordinate withyour Evolution bathroom. We recommend the use of the Aspire thermoset toilet seat orthe Eclipse soft close thermoset toilet seat.Pease see page 127 for more details.

11. DRAWERSAll small drawers feature high quality runnersand a metal construction, ensuring a perfectly smooth operating drawer system.Drawers can be fully removed if required.Drawer fronts are fully adjustable.

12. WORKTOPSIf you wish to create a Connexions installation, please ensure you have orderedthe correct size worktop.

There are 3 finishes available: white, oak andblack granite. Additional edge strips areprovided should your installation require thatworktops be cut to size.

13. LIGHTINGEvolution lighting units are fitted with low voltage halogen lamps. A safe and easy to use infrared switch enables the user to activate the lighting with a simple movement of the handunder the sensor. No need for a pull cord.

An example of Connexions installation

CONNEXIONSIf you prefer a fitted furniture look,Connexions allows our 700mm, 800mmand 1000mm vanity units to be used inconjunction with floor standing storage units and our WC back to wall units in a continuous run of furniture. A variety ofworktop finishes; continuous plinths and in-fill panels complete this look.

One of the essential requirements for a fullyfitted look are continuous worktops andplinths. A variety of sizes of each areavailable; it is important that the correct sizesare selected for each installation. Plinthscan be cut down when used in a run with aWC back to wall unit by concealing the jointbehind the WC pan.

Worktops are provided on the 300mm storage units, however this is a painted finishrather than laminated and is more suited tostand alone configurations. If used in a runof furniture you may prefer to order a624mm worktop and cut to size. Additionaledge strips are provided with all worktops toallow edges to be neatly trimmed. Whenplanning your installation, pipework runs arean essential consideration.

CLOAKROOMS AND SPACE SAVINGUNITSSpace is a precious commodity in manybathrooms so when we designed the Aspenrange of furniture and cabinets, excellentstorage capacity was one of our primaryobjectives.

Our 435mm, corner unit and slimline width 500mm WC back to wall units havebeen specifically designed to concealunsightly pipework and maximise space ineven the smallest bathrooms, cloakroomsand en-suites. Not only do they offer solutions for those bathrooms with awkwardspaces, but they provide that much neededstorage which is particularly useful in smallbathrooms.

BASE UNITSEase of installation is an important feature ofthe Aspen range. All base units are supplied

fully assembled and ready to fit. A strongand durable construction is achieved byusing the finest manufacturing techniques.All visible exterior surfaces are finished usinghigh gloss white lacquer, this includes theunit side panels, an area often overlooked.This quality finish provides a water resistantsurface - vital within a bathroom environment.

High quality runners and a metal construction ensure a perfectly smoothoperating drawer system. Drawers can befully removed and drawer fronts areadjustable to allow perfect alignment.

MIRRORS WITH DE-MISTER PADSHeated demister pads make steamy bathroom mirrors a thing of the past. The heated demister pad will heat the mirror to a few degrees above room temperaturewithin 2-3 minutes, preventing the mirrorfrom misting in even the steamiest of bathrooms. The demisting effect will spreadapproximately 10-20% further than the paditself. Heated de-mister pads are fitted on allmirrors with the exception of the 500mmplain mirror. Specifications range from thesimplicity of a large bevelled edge mirroravailable with the 500mm unit through to thecomplete specification of mirror with lightingcanopy, shelving and cupboard on the1000mm unit.

LIGHTINGAspen lighting canopies are fitted with low voltage halogen lamps which meet all applicable British ElectricalStandards. A safe and easy to use infraredswitch enables the user to activate the lighting with a simple movement of the handunder the sensor. No need for a pull cord.

BACK TO WALL FURNITUREAspen back to wall furniture enables the fitting of back to wall wc’s, bidets and semi-counter top basins, cleverly concealingpipework and cisterns behind specially designed units. Units are supplied fullyassembled and can be used fitted together or stand alone. Please see pages 14 to 26for full details on our Micra and Rio back towall sanitaryware.

BATH PANELCreate a fully co-ordinated look by fitting amatching bath panel alongside Aspen furniture. Bath panels are supplied with anadjustable plinth. Please see page 121 formore details.

TOILET SEATA matching toilet seat, designed to fit mostpan sizes, including modern short projectionstyles. Seats are manufactured in cast polyester around a wooden core for a maintenance free yet high quality finish. Seats feature an attractive chrome platedhinge. Please see page 127 for more details.

4. LAMINATE WORKTOPS/CISTERNACCESS HATCH/PLINTHS & IN-FILLPANELSThe 506, 626, 1246, 1546 and 1846 mmsized worktops and the in fill panel 300mm(w) x 820mm (h), provide the flexibility to suityour own bathroom installation.

Plinths are available in lengths of 920mmand 1540mm to complete the fitted look.These can be cut down provided that anyjoints are carefully hidden behind the back towall WC.

A matching cistern access hatch is available for use with back to wall furniture.

Thelighting canopies have been designedspecifically for the h3o range and are notintended for use with other items.

MIRROR AND CANOPY OPTIONSThere are mirror and canopy combinationsavailable for the 700mm, 800mm and1000mm units. All mirrors feature real woodveneered or high gloss white finishedshelves, fascias and cupboards whereapplicable.

BATHROOM STORAGEThe geometric design is also used to complement the auxiliary full column storageunit which gives you additional storagespace for the bathroom. Units can be wall-hung, or if you prefer the 400mm foot-stand can be used to create a freestanding style.

MERIDIAN FEATURESMERIDIAN VANITY BASE UNITSThe Meridian base units are available in awide range of sizes to suit a variety of installations from cloakrooms to family bathrooms. The range comprises of a corner unit and 400mm, 500mm, 600mmand 800mm vanity units.

The doors and fascias are manufactured inrobust MDF with either high gloss white orbeech wood effect finishes. All units aresupplied fully assembled for ease of installation with a sleek chrome handle onthe beech unit and a stylish chrome doorknob on the white unit.

The corresponding ceramic slab-top stylebasins complement the clean lines of theunits and support the fitting of a monobloctap as standard.

BATHROOM STORAGE & WC BACK TOWALL UNITSThe 300mm bathroom storage floor cupboard reflects the contemporary designof the base units, whilst providing you withthe much-needed extra storage space forthe bathroom.

The 600mm back to wall unit completes the look, and cleverly conceals unsightly pipe-work. These units can either be usedas stand-alone items or alternatively form arun of furniture by butting them alongsidethe 500mm and 600mm sized base units tocreate a fully co-ordinated room setting.

MIRRORS & CANOPY OPTIONSMirrors are available for the 500mm unitsand there are mirror and canopy combinations for the 600mm and 800mmunits. The lighting canopies have beendesigned specifically for the Meridian rangeand are not intended for use with otheritems.

Meridian lighting canopies have been carefully designed to comply with BritishElectrical Safety Regulations including: BS EN60598-2-6: 1995. Light fittings are12 V Halogen and use G4 20W capsulebulbs, which are easily replaceable.

WORKTOPS, PLINTHS & IN-FILL PANELSMeridian worktops are available in 624mm or 924mm lengths, depending on yourinstallation requirements. The 300mm floorcupboard is supplied complete with worktop. Meridian white base units are supplied with corresponding plinths. Shouldyou decide to create a run of furniture,1220mm, 920mm and 800mm sized plinthsare available in both beech and white finishes. A 300mm in-fill panel is availableshould you require it to create a more fittedlook and can be cut down to complete a runof furniture.

BATH PANELSThere are a selection of bath panels to complement your installation. The white routed panels offer great versatility as theycan be cut down to size - front panel:1700mm to 1500mm and end panel:750mm to 700mm without affecting the

design. The plain white front and end panelsare simple and stylish and offer great valuefor money. The beech routed panels, available in 1700mm and 700mm sizes, co-ordinates perfectly with the Meridianbeech shaker styling.

TOILET SEATSA co-ordinating beech effect toilet seat orhigh gloss moulded white toilet seat add thefinishing touch to your Meridian bathroom.Please see page 129 for more details.

TAPS FEATURES

TAP OPERATING PRESSURESPlumbing systems can sometimes sufferfrom poor flow rates. The UK is unique inthat many homes are still using the more traditional, low pressure gravity fed plumbingsystems which are most commonly found inolder properties.

European manufacturers tend to design tapssuitable for more modern plumbing systemswhich can often cause problems when installed in a typical UK home, resulting in a disappointing flow rate when using the taps.

Tavistock’s in-house design team have recognised this problem and engineered ourtaps so that all of them are suitable for use with both high and low pressure systems.

All of our taps operate at 0.1 bar or above (0.1 bar is equal to 1 metre head of water). In plumbing terms this means, for a gravity fed system, if the base height of your water tank is 1m above a tap, then you will have 0.1 bar of water pressure at the tap.

If you are unsure, we recommend you seekadvice from your plumber who will adviseyou on the plumbing system you have andthe likely water pressures it can achieve. If pressures are too low even for our low pressure taps, you will be able to increaseyour water pressure using a suitable water pump, and again either your retailer or plumber can advise you on this.

Please note that all of our taps are also suitable for high pressure plumbing systems.

Our range of basin mixers are supplied with high quality 350mmlong stainless steel braided flexible hoseswith 15mm compression fittings for easyinstallation. Furthermore, Kinetic, Cruz andAstin mixers feature large bore hoses forincreased flow rate performance.

complement your installation. The white

routed panels offers great versatility as

they can be cut down to size - front panel:

1700mm to 1500mm and end panel:

750mm to 700mm without affecting the

design. The plain white front and end panels

are simple and stylish and offer great value

for money. The beech shaker style routed

panels, available in 1700mm and 700mm

sizes, are supplied with an adjustable plinth.
