Today is Thursday, March 8, 2018 The THS Theatre Program is proudly presents this year’s musical Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” Come out for a night under the sea with Ariel and her friends as our very own students bring one of Disney’s most beloved movies to life. Show nights are today and Friday at 6:00 PM in the THS Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased the night of the show starting at 5:00 PM in the THS Auditorium Lobby. Tickets are $5.00 for students and $10.00 for adults ages 19 and up. Due to the popularity of this show, we recommend you show up early to ensure you are able to purchase tickets and get a good seat. WANT TO WIN A PROM TICKET? There’s less than one week left to submit entries to Mrs. Newman for the prom ticket design. The winner will receive one free prom ticket! The theme is Fire and Ice. The THS Theatre Program is proudly presents this year’s musical Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” Come out for a night under the sea with Ariel and her friends as our very own students bring one of Disney’s most beloved movies to life.

Show nights are today and Friday at 6:00 PM in the THS Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased the night of the show starting at 5:00 PM in the THS Auditorium Lobby. GUIDANCE

Students, the ASVAB is going to be given on March 28th here at THS. Please sign up in Guidance by the 15th of March. The ASVAB will start after school at 1:45 in the cafeteria. The test is open to Juniors and Seniors.

Sophomores and Juniors interested in enrolling at Lake Tech next year should meet with their grade level counselor to complete the 2018-19 application. The application window is open through April 15.

Lake Sumter State College is offering a free four day summer bridge program for graduating seniors interested in a Bachelor’s program with a STEM Major.Applications can be done on line at LSCC.EDU/STEM . See Mrs. Croker for more information.

Students, if you are interested in a Broadcasting Career, there is a management training program in the area looking for candidates. Please see Mrs. Croker for more information.

Florida Southern College Orchestra and String Scholarship Audition Information is available in Guidance.

The University of Florida and Florida State University have partnered with the Coalition for Access, Affordability and Success. This is a new on line platform to assist with the college application process. You may access these tools at www.coalitionforcollegeaccess.org.

Florida Credit Union is offering two scholarships for graduating seniors. Parents and or students must be a member of the Florida Credit Union.

CLUBS

There will be a HOPE Club meeting for those students participating in the Envirothon today and Friday, in Mrs. Farner’s room during Learning Opportunity.

The Gay-Straight Alliance meets each Thursday in Building 5, Room 106, during Learning Opportunities.

ATHLETICS

Anyone interested in trying out for cheerleading needs to attend our tryout meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the cafeteria.
