Come out to support your peers as they present a collection of ebullient scene studies where they will showcase their acting abilities. Admission to the performance is free. Hope to see you there! The University of Florida and Florida State University have partnered with the Coalition for Access, Affordability and Success. This is a new on line platform to assist with the college application process. You may access these tools at www.coalitionforcollegeaccess.org.

CLUBS

HOPE Club members: Our next meeting will Thursday during Learning Opportunity. Please remember that we are collecting canned goods, peanut butter and other nonperishable items for the canned food drive. Please start bringing in a can or jar to help our planet Earth locally. You can drop the items off in Mrs. Farner’s room. Also remember, those who pay their dues will get their HOPE Club T-shirts first.

ATHLETICS

All student-athletes wishing to participate on the track team in the spring MUST attend the track meeting this Thursday during learning ops in Coach Cerney’s room, Room 2-211. Even if you attended the previous meeting, your attendance is required.

1832 - The first streetcar went into operation in New York City, NY. The vehicle was horse-drawn and had room for 30 people.

1851 - Herman Melville's novel "Moby Dick" was first published in the U.S.

1881 - Charles J. Guiteau's trial began for the assassination of U.S. President Garfield. Guiteau was convicted and hanged the following year.
