1. RECENTLY TANNED SKIN CANNOT BE TREATED! Must wait 4 weeks (this includes natural sunlight, tanning bed, self tanning lotions or spray tanning) or until tan coloring fades.

2. Keep treated area out of the sun for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.

3. A minimum SPF30+ (UVA/UVB) with a chemical barrier for protection should be

used for any sun exposure during your treatments prior to going outside. We recommend Elta MD. KEEP IT COVERED IF IN THE SUN!

4. Shave area the day prior to or on the day of treatment (if applicable)

5. To minimize any discomfort we recommend that you take Tylenol 45 minutes to

an hour prior to your treatment. 6. AVOID NSAIDS such as Ibuprofen/Asprin prior to treatment because they may

promote bruising.

7. Avoid Retin-A/tretinoin, Retinols, AHA's (alpha-hydroxy acids) or other topical acid products, as well as, lightening agents on skin prior to treatment.

8. Avoid alcohol 2 hours prior to tattoo removal treatment. This can cause thinning of the blood which can lead to increased bruising and or bleeding.

9. Treatments can be scheduled no sooner than 6 weeks apart.

10. A digital photo will be taken at each treatment to track the removal process.

11. Brand new tattoo's may not be treated until completely healed and must be

accessed prior to treatment.

TATTOO REMOVAL - Post-Treatment

1. You may apply a cold compress for 3-5 minutes at a time to treatment area for the first 24 hours following treatment.

2. Apply Aloe Vera gel to treated area and cover with gauze for the first 72 hours.

3. If you experience redness or swelling after treatment apply cold packs up to 4

times daily for 2-3 days or until symptoms improve. Avoid direct sunlight to the affected area while experiencing these symptoms.

4. Apply Vaseline / Aquaphor as a barrier for 5-10 days after the use of Aloe Vera Gel.

5. If the skin is inflamed broken or a blister appears, do not unroof blister as this may lead to scarring or lead to infection. Clear or pink drainage after blister pops is normal.

6. Do not let the tattoo area dry out or scab, as this may lead to scarring.

7. You may shower the following day, but do not scrub the area until it is completely healed.

8. Do not submerge the treated area to avoid infection (e.g. soaking in bathtub,

swimming pools, hot tubs, etc.) for 72 hours after treatment.

Please call the spa to speak with one of the nurses should you have any questions regarding the pre & post treatments instructions. 505-888-1185
