CONTEXT
The park was built in the memory of Shahid Major Pradeep Tathawade. The park is located in a residential area hence it is accessible to residents .
The is away from the main road ,therefore the area around the park is very calm and quiet.
People of all age groups visit the park .
Since there was no other park in the location the Tathawade garden proved to be a place of relaxation for the people .
DESCRIPTION:
Pune Municipal Corporation developed a garden at S.No. 61/1A/1, Hingane on 3 acres of land in the year 2002.
A statue of Shahid Major Pradeep Tathawade is in the garden. Decorative fountain increase the beauty of this garden.
A renewed Architect Mrs. Varsha Gavandi is the main architect of this garden.
Mainly people residing at Nav-sayadri society, Karvenagar take benefit of this garden.
Pune Municipal Corporation spend about Rs. 30 lacks for the development of the garden.
Garden acts an important part in children’s life specially the children of 3-15 years of age.
MAIN FEATURES:
300 meter long jogging track,
A small stage for recreation,
waiting shade for senior citizens, water pond & decorative electric lamps
