"I studied a Diploma of Nursing... TasTAFE teaching staff were very supportive. I am now employed as a nurse in an aged care facility. I love my job, to be able to reach out and care for people at work has brought me great satisfaction." – Lili, Diploma of Nursing graduate (pictured above during her studies)

3. AffordabilityThe cost of living in Tasmania’s cities is significantly lower than that of many other cities in Australia. Students are able to live centrally in Hobart or Launceston and enjoy the great lifestyle while maintaining some of the lowest average weekly costs in Australia.

4. Safe and welcomingTasmania has the lowest crime rates in Australia and is renowned for its friendly and approachable people. Tourism is one of Tasmania’s most important industries, so Tasmanians are understanding of cultural differences and are very helpful to newcomers.
