TASK 9-EVALUATION OF COLLEGE MAGAZINE

• IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE CONFORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS ?

•My media product develops conforms and conventions of real media by having a Mast head which is the main heading of the front cover.

•The cover lines say what's in the magazine

•There is the main image which shows to the reader what the magazines about.

A house style is important because it help make the contents page look professional. By having the same font and colour scheme through out• Issue Information is important because it lets the audience know when this was released and the price.

• Puffs help attack the reader being big and bright. There is also a banner and barcodes on my magazine cover which is also common feature of magazines .

•Having these features makes my media product conform to the conventions of a magazines contents page .

•Having these features makes my media product conform to the conventions of a magazines contents page

•My media product develops conforms and conventions of real media by having a Mast head which is the main heading of the contents page. •A sub headings saying ‘features’ this heading guides the audience to read the of the magazine.

•There is Multiple images on my contents page which is a common trait of a contents page.

•Its also conforms because it Page numbers in images, which will help guide the reader to those pages.

•A house style is important because it help make the contents page look professional. By having the same font and colour scheme through out.

•Issue Information is important because it lets the audience know when this content was released.

• HOW DID YOU USE NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT?

•I used a LSAR camera to take the photos for my front cover magazine and the contents page.

•I used new media technology like Photoshop to help me construct my font cover .it made its easier to move the objects on my front cover. As photo shop uses layers it made it a lot easier to construct my media product.

•I used a software called quark to help me construct my contents page which makes it a lot easier because you can format the page to guide me on making my product it is also help full to move text ,insert images and move them around to fit the page.

• WHAT ARE THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESS OF BOTH THE PRODUCT AND YOUR USE OF NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES ?

•The strengths of my magazine cover is that i have used all of the codes and conventions of a media magazine by having a mast head, cover lines, issue information, social media, puffs, barcode and the main image. I have done all of the above very affectively and I think I have produced a good piece.

•The Weakness in my piece are the main image as there is bricks as the background and I wanted a plan white background because I didn't have time. Another weakness of my magazine cover is that there is white boxes around my social media logos which I didn't crop so that there is nothing their i also think the font isn't suitable for the magazine front cover as its see through think these are my only weakness.

• WHAT ARE THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESS OF BOTH THE PRODUCT AND YOUR USE OF NEW MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES ?

•The strengths of my magazine cover is that I have used all of the codes and conventions of a media magazine by having a mast head, Page number in the images, content, house style , heading, issue information, social media, and the multiple images. I have done all of the above very affectively and I think I have produced a good piece.

•The Weakness in my piece are the fact I forgot to put caption under the images. Which next time I will need to do. I also don't have main image on my contents page which I will have to also put on next time round. same of the text box is over hanging my image ,so that is also a weakness where is need to improve.
