A$AP Rocky - Goldie• This video represents the Rap/Hip Hop genre with the

clothing worn and the scenery relate to the genre of music. In the screenshots we can see that artist is trying to relate to the conventions by wearing expensive clothing, shots in the suburban area with groups of people performing to the camera and using objects such as cars to portray the wealth of the two artists in the video. In the video there is also naked women lying around to show that the artist believes that he can do and get anything that he wants. There isn’t really any convention that the video doesn’t use.

Kanye West - Mercy• This video represents the Rap/Hip Hop genre with the

clothing worn as well as the expensive car in the background and a woman exaggerating her moves making it seem very more sexual. The video isn’t shot is a area where most people would expect to see a video of this genre shot in. However, even though it isn’t in a location you would expect it links in with the song title and lyrics as they include the use of the Lamborghini Murceliago in a car park. The video has the artists that feature on the video also perform to the camera like expected.

Scroobius Pip - Introdiction• This is a video that is in the Rap/Hip Hop genre. However,

this video doesn’t really follow any of the conventions that you would expect to see in a typical video of this genre. The only convention he uses is how he performs to the camera. The artist doesn’t use expensive clothing or accessories to show his wealth or have women dancing around him. This video shows that a video doesn’t have to follow the conventions to be a good video.
