Research into Music Magazines NME NME (New Musical Express) is published by IPC Media. The magazine’s target audience is people who like Rock and Indie music and are usually based on men from the ages of 17-30. Within NME there are opinions, debate, photos and band interviews. Mojo Mojo is a music magazine published in 1993. After the magazine Q was such a great success, Mojo was created for people who have an interest Rock music but have a love for Classic rock also. The magazine frequently covers many acts such as Bob Dylan and The Beatles. Mojo is published monthly by a company called Bauer and is based in London. Mojo’s target audience are rock lovers but has a better interest in Classic rock music. The age range for people who are interested in this magazine are people from 35 years old and over and from both genders. Mojo has had great triumph with issues who star people such as The Beatles, which special edition issues have been create which contain a whole magazine/ issue based on one artist/genre. Rolling Stone is a successful magazine based on popular music, film actors and television shows. The first magazine was published in 1967. The Rolling Stones magazine has a mostly male readers between the ages of 18 – 24 with the class of C2DE.

Top Of The Pops

Top of the pops is an English based magazine which started in 1995. The magazine is mostly targeted at teenagers. 85% of their readers are female with the other 15% being male. Top of the pops is published monthly. The magazine has sections for star gossip, fashion and beauty advice, song lyrics, quizzes and posters. The magazine is mostly directed at teens who like pop/R&B music. Top of the pop is well known for giving the Spice Girls their nick names. Over the year Top Of The Pops music content has faded away and the magazine is using more content that would interest girls, such as beauty and fashion. The magazine is published by Immediate Media Company.
