ProfileTarnia’s role of Event Manager will be instrumental to your event planning and she will be the main point of contact regarding logistics for the Local Organising Committee (LOC). Tarnia will be responsible for the program management of your event, liaising with venues, suppliers and supervising logistical arrangements. Tarnia will attend Meetings and be available to assist the LOC with their requirements. On-site, she will service the LOC and be the main point of contact for all suppliers, ensuring everything is executed as planned during set up and the duration of the Conference. Tarnia will be supported by the Event Director as well as having an allocated Event Coordinator and Conference Services Coordinator.
Tarnia is an event and communications professional with over 17 years of corporate experience. Tarnia has had a successful career in a variety of roles, particularly with the St George Bank and Westpac Group as the National Program Manager Reward and Recognition, Corporate Relations, Human Resources. In this role, Tarnia liaised with the Bank’s Executive Management team (CEO and CEO’s Group Executives) to implement strategic plans and communicate programs including national reward programs, events, conferences, overseas recognition field trips and peer panel reviews.
Tarnia is experienced in report writing, coordination of events, presenting, managing suppliers and collaborating with senior personnel to achieve major outcomes.
Tarnia is an outgoing, customer focussed, and dedicated professional who will go above and beyond to ensure successfully managed projects and exceptional levels of service.
Tarnia holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Management with a sub-major in Human Resources and Industrial Relations at the University of Western Sydney, has undertaken MEA courses and has an Executive Certificate in Event Management; UTS: Australian Centre for Event Management (ACEM).
