The Mossel Bay Municipal Authori� prohibits the discharge of any fireworks, except where permission was granted by means of an application and the Municipali� granted a designated area therefore. Residents and visitors are encouraged to adhere to this regulation to avoid prosecution.

No Alcohol!!All the beach areas (including the parking areas) are designated as an area into which the introduction of liquor or in which the possession or consumption of liquor is prohibited. Never consume alcohol before swimming, diving or boating, as it impairs your judgement, balance and coordination, which can be fatal when in the water/ocean.

During the period �om 1 December to 31 January annually, dog-owners can walk their dogs on the following beaches on the demarcated areas be�een 05:00 – 08:00 and 18:00 – 20:00: - Diaz Beach be�een the estuary and Bayview - Hartenbos be�een the river mouth and Little Brak River excluding the Blue Flag Beach be�een the river mouth and the northern boundary of the parking lot - Reebok / Tergniet - Dana Bay be�een First and Second Beach - SouwesiaPeople who walk their dogs on the beaches should adhere to the following conduct: - Dogs must be under strict control of the owner / dog walker at all times - Dogs must be leashed at all times - Vicious dogs must be muzzled - Give right of way to people unaccompanied by dogs - Dog handlers must be responsible for removing their dog’s faeces �om beaches, grass areas, paths, car parks and any other areas used by pedestrians - Female dogs on heat may not be walked in the public beach areas - Dog handlers must ensure that their dogs do not chase or injure wild life - Dog handlers are to remain on public beach areas-approved paths and tracks at all times.
