Target audience for our film

• Our film would be aimed at people between the ages of16 to 25 as we feel like the age ranges would feel more relatable to these situations. Especially as a teenager growing up it isn't easy, and people tend to get influenced and pressured very quickly.

• The genre will specifically focus on social realism and things that some may relate to. Social realism is a genre of film that tends to focus on specific issues that occur in this modern society and is represented by different ideologies. Themes that link to this genre would be drugs, money, middle class, lower class, sex and prostitution. These themes still occur today but not all are involved in early realism to storylines and films.

The inbetweeners is a good example of a film/TV show which has inspired us with our short film. It follows the life of suburban teenagers and explains their separate yet similar life's. They all tend to be socially awkward and are always out to cause some sort of trouble. The TV is very based on the male narrative. This links to the Strauss theory as in all the episode it includes a humorous event which often involves conflict for the characters to overcome. By the end of the episode, the conflict is somehow resolved at the end of the episode.
