THIS ALSO MEANS THAT ADULTS CAN AND WILL WATCH THESE FILMS MEANING THERE IS THE LARGEST AUDIENCE POSSIBLE. HOWEVER THERE ARE A FEW R RATED FILMS THAT HAVE DONE EXTREMELY WELL SUCH AS “THE HANGOVER” THAT RELY ONLY O N AN ADULT AUDIENCE AS CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE IT.

THE VIEWERHere I have included both male and a female viewer due to the fact that comedy appeals to everyone. This is because of the different sub-genres of comedy including action-comedy that may appeal more to a young male while a romantic comedy is targeted mainly to women. There are also other genres of comedy that just appeal to both genders anyway

I have chosen to have an 13 year old to represent a teenage demographic. This is due to the immense popularity of PG13 rated films such as “Austin Powers” that appeal to this demographic due to the comedy included in the film.

Here I have chosen to have an 18 to represent the adult consumers of comedy. As while PG13 films are very popular there are several R rate films that are extremely popular such as “The Hangover” that are very successful and are only seen in cinemas by adults due to their age rating
