Proud of what they have created, studio director Fiona McNab and producer Stephen Watkins announce the opening of TAPE, one of the UK’s most anticipated new recording facil ities, at 100 Constitution Street Edinburgh.
A world-class facil ity, Tape houses a carefully curated collection of vintage equipment as well as two state of the art SSL Duality Consoles all contained within a stunningly renovated 19th century warehouse in the heart of Edinburgh’s creative Leith area.
On the ground f loor their control room, built around a 48-channel SSL Duality console, looks into an incredible double height l ive environment that is stocked with an array of high-end equipment. Upstairs, the mix studio is designed and built around Tape’s one of a kind L shaped 96 channel Duality console and upwards of 300 U of new and vintage outboard equipment, of which many pieces have their very own place in pop music history.

Fiona McNab – Fiona has worked in and around the music industry for the past decade and Tape has allowed her to combine her experi-ence in the industry with her passion for architecture and interior design.
Stephen Watkins – Edinburgh based Record Producer and Mix Engineer who has previously cut records with the l ikes of Amanda Palmer, Dead Boy Robotics, The Machine Room, Lady North, Magic Eye, BooHooHoo and many, many others

Tracking at Tape takes place between 10am and 8pm. Our rate in-cludes the use of all in-house equipment as well as our production staff . Af ter hours tracking is an option, however, this is at the dis-cretion of staff and will be charged at a higher hourly rate.

Tape provides comprehensive attended and remote online mix ser-vices, these are charged at a per track rate.
