YOUR GUIDE: RICHARD KNOCKER. Richard Knocker has never not been 'on safari', at least it seems that way! Born and raised in Kenya, the only time he was off the continent was when he taught English at a school in Turkey. Richard was part of the original Nomad Safari Guides, a group of seriously knowledgeable people who met on top of a hill in the Serengeti and decided to pool their resources - two Landrovers and a trailer - to form one of Tanzania's pioneering safari companies. Going on safari with Richard is always a real privilege (he only guides for the most discerning of clients), not least of which because of his sense of humour, sparkling wit and storytelling ability. He is passionate about the bush and utterly committed to everything in it; he, like all our guides, are Tanzania’s greatest ambassadors and we wouldn't be without them. YOUR ITINERARY: Starting with 3 nights in the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the wonders of the world and acts as a natural sanctuary for big game such as rhino, elephant, lion, leopard and cheetah. Richard will guide you in your private luxury vehicle on safari through the Crater. You will stay at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, one of Africa’s most exclusive properties – perched on the edge of the Crater it has long been famed for the best views, quirky design, exquisite food and unique location. On arrival into Kilimanjaro you will be met by Richard and your private plane and will be flown to Manyara airstrip, arriving at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge in time for sundowners. On your second and third day you will descend onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a day of excellent big cat game viewing. On day three you will fly in a private light aircraft with Richard to the Serengeti.




4 NIGHTS IN LAMAI PRIVATE CAMP IN THE SERENGETI YOUR LOCATION: Serengeti

Our private luxury camp is in the Northern Serengeti. This area is vast and exclusive meaning that your game viewing is always completely private. The area is fantastic for wildlife viewing all year, especially big cats. The Wildebeest Migration is in this area from July to September and brings a lot of drama with it. If you wish to travel in June or July we suggest staying at Singita Private Mobile Camp which is located in the Western Serengeti. The Serengeti is famous for having the highest density of predators in the world.

YOUR ITINERARY: 4 nights in either of the below new to the market ultra luxurious camps: Lamai Nomad Private Camp is located in the Lamai wedge of the Northern Serengeti and offers

exceptional game viewing (especially big cats) throughout the year, as well as being one of Tanzania’s most exclusive safari camps. This camp is private and for your use only with a pool, gourmet chef and of course Richard guiding you.

Singita Lamai is a brand new Singita property, which is modern and chic in style. It can only be

booked exclusively if there are between ten and sixteen of you. Singita take reducing their carbon footprint very seriously and as a result private vehicles are only bookable here if there are over four of you. Singita know how to build incredibly stylish, glamorous and modern safari properties with as little impact on the environment as possible, and this new to the market camp is setting the safari industry alight.

After your safari in the Serengeti you will be flown back to Kilimanjaro airport in a private light aircraft.
