Cooper was named Tampa Bay's eighth head coach on March 26, 2013.Cooper, 50, begins his sixth season as Lightning head coach and has amassed a 188-120-35 record. Blashill, 43, enters his third season as the head coach of the Red Wings. Blashill has accumulated six seasons with the organization, spendingthe 2011-12 seasonas an assistant coach for Detroit before serving as head coach of the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins from 2012-15. He led theGriffins to the most successful three-year run in franchise history, capped off with a Calder Cup championship in 2013.
