Our speaker this month is Rick Feiock from FSU. He will bemaking a presentation on energy savings performancecontracting. He has been working with the US Department ofEnergy on energy conservation and sustainability issues andsurveying state and local officials to find out what theirgovernment’s greatest needs and interest are in these matters. The results of their survey are very interesting and have manyimplications for purchasing, especially cooperative purchasingand using the lead statewide contract process.

Richard C. Feiock is an Augustus B. Turnbull Professor of PublicAdministration in the Askew School of Public Administration andPolicy and he directs the Sustainable Energy and Governance(SEG) Center at Florida State University. He has published fivebooks and over on-hundred articles. His most recent book, Self-organizing Federalism is published by Cambridge UniversityPress.
