Canceled
From the Big SIR: As you are all aware, we continue to cancel our luncheon meetings for all our safety.
Things are not looking good for any Large SIR
function for the rest of the year
. We will probably even have to change our location for the future luncheons. Our present
facility, as are most facilities, is too small to
allow for a crowd our size with the Social
Distancing recommendations to sit and
have lunch together.
The
Branch Executive Committee (BEC)
continues to look into ways that we
may be able to one day safely gather,
maybe in smaller groups. With all
that in mind the BEC has voted to cancel
our normal annual Christmas
Party. We haven’t given up totally on
Christmas yet. If things change it
may allow us to do something a little
different this year. We will Continue
to try to keep all members informed of any

will continue to try to keep all members informed of any plans. We have also had to cancel the Golf Awards Luncheon in that it too would not be safe for
that many members to meet face to face. In efforts to keep in touch with branch membership, we continue to use our member calling system to check on all
our welfare and to gather your opinions for future actions. Your Branch Executive Committee still has the invitation to all branch 106 members to join us at
our monthly Branch Executive Committee Meetings held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Due to Covid and shortage of seating we are limited to 5
members joining us per month. If you are interested in seeing and hearing how your BEC works please contact me by the 15th of each month at 707-999-
6845 or my email address at [email protected] any of our members/sir’s friends are having problems or could use a little help, reach out to a member on the Branch Executive Committee so we can investigate how we can help each other.
Jim Evans is still keeping track of our members through his Sunshine Report. Dennis Dix and the Golf leaders are staying on top of the golf
developments and we have been able to do some limited golfing so stay in touch. Keep us informed and we can keep you informed.

Gentlemen
As you're aware, the final round of our Club Championship will be
Wednesday Oct 14, 2020. No Shotgun start.
We've had a chance to review funds and we will be paying out over $2,000
in prize money. Because we have had fewer expenditures, the Club Champion, DFL winner and 4 flight winners will have their 2021 NCGA
dues paid by Sirs Br 106 Golf.
Monday, Oct 19, 2020, we'll be back at Rancho. At noon on the 19th the
course will be closed , but we can finish our rounds. Monday, Oct 26, 2020, because of the aerating and sanding at Rancho,
we'll be playing at Cypress Lakes (TAFB) and only have 11 tee times, and
have a few players signed up. We'll sign up and pay in advance, $37, which
includes weekly tournament entry. Have a good weekend and see you Wednesday.
Finally, considering the age of our players, some of us might be overweight
and I think everyone has other risk factors, Diabetes, high blood pressure,
cholesterol, and so forth, and reviewing the status with the Big Sir, Future Big Sir, our hosts, and checking with the Department of Health guidelines
and other members of our group,
WE ARE CANCELING THE CHAMPIONSHIP LUNCHEON,
in the interest of everyone.
Dennis
SUNSHINE Gentlemen:
It is with great sadness I report to you the death of Whit Whitman.
I just found out myself today as we served together for years in the AF Reserves. More info to follow, but his wife Laura has family supporting her during this extremely sad time.

A man returned to his parked BMW to find the headlights broken with considerable
damage to the front end of the vehicle. There was no sign of the offending car, but
he was relieved to see a note under the windshield wiper. The note read, “Sorry I
backed into your car. The witnesses who saw the accident are nodding and smiling
at me because they think I am acting responsibly by leaving my name and address
and other particulars. But I’m not. So long sucker”
A completely naked guy walks into a bar and orders two shots of vodka. The female
bartender looks at him intently scanning his body up and down. The customer
states to the bartender, “What’s the matter haven’t you seen a naked man before?”
The bartender replies, “ Yes I have but I’m just trying to figure out where you keep
the money to pay for the drinks.
The Chairman of the Board called me to his office to tell me the good news. I was being promoted to Vice President of Corporate Research and Planning. And of course I was elated but that didn’t stop me from asking for my new title to be changed to Vice President of Planning and Research. “Why the Chairman asked?” “Because” I said, “Our organization uses abbreviated job titles and I don’t want to known as “VP of CRAP”.
KEEP SMILING FOLKS THAT WAY PEOPLE WILL WONDER WHAT YOU DID!
