IATI is like a beehive…

It can be extended to make it as useful as possible..

To in the end harvest ‘honey’..

Can we make IATI sexy like this project on crowdsourcing platform Indiegogo did? i.e. who does not want a honeytap in their garden?

Bees fly approximately 3 kilometers from their hive. But this does not mean they go everywhere. That would be pretty inefficient.

They share the exact locations where at a certain moment the best/most nectar can be found. Like ‘data intermediaries’.

In (IATI) data use we also need direction. A certain view, format, channels is useful for certain audiences and users at a certain time. This calls for flexible tools. Some examples:

A view for a project, building on IATI. Including media and updates we could call it IATI+

A new tool funded by the Hilton and Cisco foundation:

A new tool to bring data analysis and views together:

A new tool which build on IATI data to create a ‘paperless report’
